In that heat, women are expected to wear Black veil/hijab/burkha? Black absorbs heat...

When it’s not storms, floods or locust invasions, it’s a deadly heat… this place is cursed.
  • Last time, there was a pilgrimage there where floods ,now this . Not a good sign.
  • It's the desert in the summer. It's always hot. The temp there is not unusual. Saudi Arabia feels like it has only two seasons. 9 months of summer and 3 months of autumn.
  • It's 100 degrees everyday in that area. Wearing those pajamas make 10 degrees hotter

From people chanting from the river to the sea you'd think theyd bring some water 🤣

Stop hajj subsidies. Indian government should get themselves to foot their own bill. No muslim government anywhere in the world provide subsidies for non-muslim pilgrimage. Why should we? Use my tax money for better use
  • fancy carrying a child there in that heat, incredibly irresponsible. Children cannot control their body temperature and they are far more susceptible to overheating.

I am absolutely appalled by some of these comments stating they are glad those people died. I’m a Catholic and extremely saddened by the lives lost. No matter what religion or belief you have, you should NEVER be glad that other humans are dead. 🙏🏻
  • A lot of people who aren't very healthy go on Hajj because it is something people do in their older years, generally. If you are not healthy to begin with, and hydrated well, temps of 125F are deadly.
