Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith tied the knot in 1997, while both of them were in their career prime. With two A-list celebrities joining in holy matrimony, it only made sense for the spotlight to shine extra bright on the newlyweds. Even though the two stars were used to being on the big screen, that didn’t always mean it was easy being on camera.

After a series of public scandals and intense scrutiny about their parenting skills, our once favorite celebrity couple may not be as well-loved as we thought. Here’s a breakdown of why Hollywood can’t stand Will and Jada anymore.

  • What other celebrity couples do you want us to explore?
  • @Jameske87
In a sense the slap was a blessing. Finally getting rid of this toxic family.
  • Jada is a self important malignant narcissist. She needs to be gone.
  • "You're not kings and queens. You're not royalty. You're just entertainers". That goes for ALL of Hollywood!
  • When your arrogance is only exceeded by a highly undeserved sense of self worth , pompous indignation and your ego controls your life , you have what you see now. An entire family thinking they matter to the world and are above the laws of all men. The Pharaohs had that problem as well. How did that turn out ?
  • He must really love her because all she does is humiliate him. She is toxic person
  • 2016 was the year the Smiths asked Chris Rock to boycott the Oscars by turning down the biggest hosting gig of his life to support their claim of lack of diversity bc Will was not nominated for ("Concussion") a movie that did not turn a profit. Chris did not placate Jada and will and hosted the Oscars despite Jada insistence, to his credit. Fast forward 2022 when the Oscar production is all about diversity and Will Smith is nominated and he slaps the host, Chris Rock for slighting Jada with a joke.

I lost a lot of respect for Hollywood after this debacle. Unreal.
  • how can some people say he was defending her honor when she has absolutely no honor what's so ever
  • @ozrob8726
It's not only Hollywood who can't stand these two...add me to the list.
  • He took everything away from everyone that night; and the fact that he was still allowed to stay for the remaining of the ceremony is complete bullsh*t👌🏻

I never understood how Jada could defend that picture of her daughter. I would've been like "Yes, it was innappropriate for my under aged daughter to be in an adult male's room, lying on his bed while he was there shirtless. It doesn't matter that nothing sexual or romantic was happening. You just don't allow your under aged daughter to be in that scenario. I can almost hear my own father when I was that age telling me "you never ever go into a man's room".
  • I'm not that crazy about them! Since they said they had an Open marriage in front of their kids!! Then they talk about their Affairs!?!🤦
  • If Will and Jada weren't so busy having their "open marriage" maybe their kids would have a clue about life! I also hope that Will and Jada kept at least some of their earnings in the bank because I have a feeling that they won't be getting the parts that they used to, if any at all. If they didn't like what comedians and comediennes have said about them in the past, well, they are DEFINITELY not going to like what is said about them now, that's for dadgum sure!!! Jamie Foxx nailed it when he said that if the Smiths wanted diversity when Will didn't get nominated for concussion then they should've acted better! They acted like spoiled brats by pulling that stunt!
  • The audience giving him a standing ovation when he received his Oscar, after the assault on Chris Rock, shows what Hollywood is about. No decency or morals
  • An online poll this week determined Will Smith is the most hated man in the world right now. Coming in second was Vladimir Putin.
  • This is so bad for Will Smith personally (first), the black community (second), and the movie industry (third). I think the audacity, cockiness, and inability to control himself, herself (Jada laughing afterwards) and their family ("this is how we do it" was tweeted by their son 1-2 days ago) are akin to a pubescent teenagers’ behaviors. But 1/3 of you think what he did was understandable, righteous, or maybe even cool. Really? How bizarre. @ PONTIFICATION 1: Who in their right mind slaps someone in front of millions of people? Not even most MMA fighters when exchanging insults during the pre-fight weigh-ins. Rarely happens. PONTIFICATION 2: Who in their right mind brings religion into this and says [paraphrased] "God needs me to protect, defend, and love people" OR that the "Devil will come for you when you are on top"? What a cop-out and deflection: 'The devil made me do it'. Sheesh. PONTIFICATION 3: Why was Pinkett-Smith's reaction so underwhelming to the point she was laughing afterwards? She could have easily defused the situation simply by standing up and saying "hey hey, guys, I know you are fighting over me, but I love you both". Furthermore, Denzel Washington's apparent support(?) at the Oscar's was at best misinterpreted by Will Smith: ANY good friend of his would/should have pulled him aside properly, prepared a better speech for him, and told him to offer the darn award for best acting to Chris Rock! That would have been humor right there. PONTIFICATION 4: Who is giving this family advice OR are there just a bunch of "yes-men" around ‘successful people’ these days?

I cannot look at Will and Jada without cringing. They are the most pathetic couple in Hollywood ! I hope they isolate themselves for good after that epic slap!
