Whenever i listen to Jay Shetty asking a Question to the guest. I used to pause the video right away and feel it like Jay is asking me the Questions. This is how I'm healing, understanding myself better.

It's wild that we are the MOST connected as a world, but yet we all seem so disconnected...Sending peace and happiness your way!

It's so apparent that La La's strength is her softness. This makes me wish I could sit down with her to share, share, share and learn, learn, learn.

This was such an amazing interview and helped me in so many ways. Being 6 months out of an 11 year relationship/8 year marriage, "healing is messy" is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thinking I was over my ex, and then feeling sad again as our anniversary just passed, La La articulated what I was feeling so eloquently in just those three words. Thank you for being vulnerable and for the reassurance to forgive ourselves!

I was a Lala fan from the jump, excited for her when she landed her job at MTV. To see how she has grown and excelled in life is so beautiful. This interview was so genuine, down to earth, and it shows how close to her roots she still is after all her success. She is the epitome of being humble and I pray that she is forever blessed. Jay has THE BEST INTERVIEWS!
  • Yes, we don’t get married to get divorced!!! But when life sits you in it, you have no choice but to heal and love yourself. Wishing you your hearts desires LaLa!! ❤

Hearing La La talk about what she honours about herself is definitely something I can relate to. I've expressed out loud on numerous occasions how frustrated I feel with myself when I feel I'm still not over something and how I should be over it by now. When I find that I'm still experiencing difficulties in specific areas or I'm still being triggered by specific things I seem to think that I'm not making any progress and almost get mad at myself like how are you not over this yet? I think it was a nice reminder from La La that healing definitely is messy and it's not as straight forward as we may want it to be. It takes time and you just can't put a timer on when your healing is over because that will just leave you feeling disheartened, and disappointed because you're not healing at the speed you think you should be. Give yourself grace and always be kind, loving, and understanding with yourself because healing is one of the most difficult processes a human being can go through and beating yourself up about the fact that you're still struggling in certain areas isn't helpful to yourself at all.

As someone who’s struggling now with burnout, it was comforting to hear La La and that many resonate with this self sabotaging behavior, especially for those who have come from low income communities and have worked a great deal to get out and better financially. Yet, at the expense now of my health

Atlanta is a small world and I went to La La's high school (in Stone Mtn.). I wish her well and I love that she has kept a strong will in the limelight and remained true to her values as much as she could. She is a lovable soul and I'm proud of the woman she has become. Best of luck to you, La La!
  • “Just trust in the timing & continue moving forward” that point made at 31 minutes was key!!
