BonusWolfe is finally the main character now
  • Michael wasn't just rank 1 in random battles a couple times, he held the no.1 spot almost permanently, mostly with a sizeable lead, for an extended period of time. I'd say it was like that for at least 3 weeks prior to the world championship, could be longer, didn't follow him then. There are more knowledgeable people on him, but he seems to win a lot of different tournaments and stuff.
  • @MoinCoin
still love how michael is insane in singles and now also in vgc
  • @Dave98x
In a German interview, Micheal said that they played against each other earlier this year. Micheal already had a similar team and he won both matches by clicking Phantom force. Which is why he assumed that Amonguss wouldn't click Spore into the Dragapult slot this time.

I really like the "old" Wolfey style just recording and talking. The edited essay type of videos are nice but I just love these videos the most
  • Its a shame to see such a unique take on trick room not win. I never saw amoongus being as dominant as it was ever.
  • @DNeonLamp
It's insane to me as a relative outsider to the scene that a world championship is played in Bo3 when a game can be won on a 27% chance flinch proc.
  • @LeGoooze
I like this format, it is super interesting to me how many ways a turn can go and how it actually went on pro-level matches. I don't know how much editing you plan to do on this kind of videos but a suggestion: make the match screen a bit smaller, just small enough so you can stay on frame without hiding the video. This way we can clearly see you and all the information of the match. On the remaining empty space what you can do a couple of things like list the Pokemons of each player, list the active Pokemons of each one with their moves, habilites and items or just use a wallpaper kind of thing to fill the empty space. Cheers, I can't wait to see more of these!

Michael is an absolute genius. Ive played him in many tiers on pokemon showdown in high ladder and he always plays damn near perfectly. Hes one of the few people I've always felt was "In my head". One of the greatest to ever touch this game.

The REAL YOUTUBIST returns to the main channel baby!
  • @Egghead1229
We know you can win world championships next year Wolfey
  • @Sangheliosgarcia
why isn't the finale decided by a best of 5 instead? it's too fast of a match to decide the winner in my opinion.
  • @y.f8139
I didn't even know Michael was a vgc finalist wtf... I already respected him a ton for being amazing at basically every singles format ever. actual irl pokemon master
  • I hope Mr youtubism's wrist is feeling better - the intro was pretty peak today tbh. It was passionate, artistic, and full of earnest integrity.
  • @Siscon92
Michael being on finals is so surreal. I only know him from freezai‘s freedom cup, which he won. He won 2 playoff games bc his opponents failed to show up on time and he refused to reschedule so he took the free wins so I thought, he was a scrub. Then I saw him winning other stuff and thought dude is strong. Seeing him 1 month later on VGC WC finals is wild

I really, really like and appreciate this video. It's super helpful to know the options and what people are thinking. It's hard for me to think about what my opponent might do and usually I spin my own head in circles and pick the wrong choice. Thanks for your time and effort!
