Both the 'Storm and P99 are incredible guns. The Storm was built to run tens of thousands of 40 with no failures and the rotating barrel is cool AF. The P99 was also designed to shoot 40 cal. As a striker fired DA/SA it is unique. I love how it goes from DA to SA with only 1/10th of an inch of slide travel. I have a P99 but not a storm. The Storm is developing quite a cult following although it's never been a huge hit in the US. Ironically both have safety features Ideal for AIWB but are a bit too chunky. My P99 looks enormous compared to my X-Macros for example. As high and tight OWB's both the P99 and probably the Storm are really very good.

I inherited my brother’s S&W 99 in 40 and have wanted to get a Walther P99 for a while but I don’t see many for sale here in New Hampshire. I like the unique AS trigger system. When I heard about the P99 Final Edition, I ordered one from a local gun store. I didn’t want to take a chance of not getting one. It is a great gun, and worth adding to your collection.
  • The beauty of the P99 is that it maintains the simplicity of a striker fired pistol while also having an outstanding trigger and accuracy. I can disassemble a P99 frame or slide and put it back together with relative ease. The trickiest part is disassembling the sear assembly which is still pretty easy. I took the slide from my PPQ Subcompact then bought a PDP F series frame off gunbroker to run my QSC slide on. Had to swap some parts to make it work. Runs flawlessly.
  • The PX4 is on my must-have list. I am hesitant on the P99 bc on my PDP's snappy recoil, but I'll probably get it anyway. Lol. Great content!! Keep it coming.
  • Walther P99 Final Edition should start shipping in April or May '23. Meanwhile, the P99 is still available. Good video. First time hearing of you. Good job.
  • What’s Up? I’m moving from revolvers, back to 1911’s. I’ve had two PX4 CC pistols, and they were fine. My son has the S&W 469 that I bought a few months ago, and I’m trying to get that back. The beer cozy is too funny!
  • Two things I'd insist on for a pistol purchase: Hammer-fired and does not use that Browning tilt-barrel mecfhanism. PX4 and M9 qualify, copies of M8 such as Girsan Regard qualify, pure blowback pistols can qualify.

2 of my favorite pistols ... thanks for a great review! God bless !!!

Unfortunately every pistol you present to us I want to buy for the experience. I object to the annoying dingus triggers but there are so many great pistols with it. I guess the P99 Final Edition will find a space soon next to my other pistols of passion. Love your presentations .
  • I have the PX4 in full size .40 and the P99AS in 9MM. I find the comparison a little strange being one is a hammer fired and the other is a striker fired. In my opinion they are both too big to be used for concealed carry as a civilian. Both would work for plain clothes carry as a detective or similar position. I find the P99 attractive as a striker fired gun because of the decocker. If you needed to shove it in your waistband you could decock it and I think it would be safe to carry that way if needed, These days I don' t carry on body much, I carry a mid to full size duty pistol WITH me in a sling pack so most any of my guns will work for carry in that mode. On body when I feel the need I carry a shield plus, LCP max, G48, j frame revolver, Walther PPS... that size weapon. I do find both of these guns very accurate,, reliable and worthy law enforcement / military grade weapons and carry both from time to time. Great video featuring two awesome guns.

Wow! The last two guns I picked up together in a review lol

You through and thoughtful reviews and earned me as a new subscriber. Thanks. Have you tried the PX4 that comes directly from LTT (not the regular Compact Carry)? The DA is much improved.
  • @steveh7823
When you consider the P99 was launched 25 years ago it is truly amazing and still has leading features, like sticker indicator, chambered indicator, de-cocker, brilliant reset. Walther really changed the game with the original P99 and everyone else followed.
  • @gutblaster187
Fair and solid review👍It does appear from the footage that you're able to exercise significantly more control over the PX4. Does your PX4 have a Langdon TJIAB or the stock Compact Carry trigger parts from Beretta?
  • Just got my LTT PX4 Carry Full Size yesterday. Mounted my Holosun 508 T on it. Can’t wait to shoot it.
  • The PX4 in 40-or 45 cal amounts to a heavy caliber pistol that is easy to shoot. C an anything else say the same thing?? How good would you feel about carrying a P99 in bear country??
  • James Bond used the Walther P99. That’s why I bought mine.
  • Twenty-yard shots, you likely wouldn't notice much difference in accuracy. But suppose you're out in the forest somewhere... Being able to make a good shot on a white-tail at 40 yards could be the difference between eating that night and going hungry.... That's why I don't want the tilt barrel,
