1:27:09 Ehh, this line was pretty dumb. The game engine, Unity, has nothing to do with how the game feels when controlling. My apologies for this one!
  • Be warned guys, this is Scott's last ever "Nintendo Switch: Five Years In" video, so savour it.
  • @Maynick2001
"'This isn't the Nintendo I grew up loving!'" "Yeah, because you weren't paying attention back then." Easily your most cutting line to date.
  • @Kale13000
A disney life simulator forcing you to live life the way Disney wants you to is actually an extremely accurate representation of Diseney so, props to the game for that
  • Scott saying “What CAN this company do right” in reference to Sega is the funniest thing I’ve heard all week
  • this is honestly the best "Nintendo Switch: Five Years In" video that Scott has ever made
  • Alright, the part where he's just speechless about the Danganronpa series for like, 20 seconds is golden. I think that's about the only thing you can do to explain how bats**t crazy that series is.
  • It’s been over a year and I STILL see Mario 3d all stars on store shelves
  • @TT-rl7pu
One thing I really appreciate about Scott is that he’s willing to call out even his favorite publishers on their garbage, but prevents the discussion from getting too hysterical by not only avoiding letting his criticisms devolve into shouting synonyms for “bad” (other than for older, hard-to-clickbait games like Zip-Lash and Ride to Hell: Retribution, and even then he keeps his review both humorous and analytical), but also by mentioning when he feels like complaints are being blown out of proportion, or when people forget or ignore that seemingly new and scary trends are in fact patterns that we’ve been dealing with just fine for years.
  • @LadyGrayce
52:10 as one of those "world ends with you megafans" we talk about this game all the time, the series is just so niche that discussions never spill out of our small communities
  • @Atellas
I honestly thought this episode was t coming since we didn’t get one on the Switch’s actual 5th birthday. Im incredibly happy we got this.
  • @Dippythebest
Scott’s reaction to playing all of the danganronpa games is just perfect it perfectly encapsulates the feeling of beating these games
  • @hanktank45
This was a joy to watch. I really like this series. Just wrapping up a whole year in sections is a great way to look back. This year felt pretty monotone for me. I wasn't over hyped for anything and as a pokemon fan PLA was cool but BDSP felt janky. Kirby was incredible. Kingdom hearts being cloud versions was the biggest let down for me though.
  • @espion7
The fact that this video is 2 HOURS LONG, and it was interesting THE WHOLE TIME is absolutely a proof that Scott is one of the best creator on the platform
  • Last year I was at Walmart and decided to get a game that I knew little about, the decision was between hades and balan....I'm so happy I chose hades
  • @SuLokify
It's kind of amazing that flagship game titles have basically been the same price for 30 years
  • @TheBlakeGG
The fact that Balan Wonderworld and Breath of the Wild came out 4 years apart and both cost 60$ makes me unbelievably sad
  • @ReddBoi64
The only reason I got an OLED was because on release day GameStop held a deal where you could trade in your old switch for like $270 of in store credit, use it to buy the OLED, and transfer all your save data right then and there in the store from your old console to the new. I also had the original model with the bad battery life still so even if it wasn’t a huge upgrade it was worth the 80 bones.
  • @nowayok_99
Game Builder Garage was honestly a great idea on their part. It’s such a fun experience for younger kids who are genuinely interested in programming. My little brother loves it, and I have a friend with young siblings who had a blast for months and months on end with it.

All jokes aside, I think it’s worth noting that Scott’s channel also grows a year older along with these videos too. Happy 5 years, Scott. or i don’t know how time works i havent gone out in awhile
