  • There's not very many bands out there that have had as many hits as Aerosmith had in their first three decades together. They toured through their fifth, and that's pretty special. I'm glad I got a chance to see them a few times in the 90's because I gotta tell you, they played like they loved the audience, pulling songs out of their catalog that were hits, and some you thought you'd never hear live. Totally one of the best bands out there.
  • Aerosmith was way before my time. I was born in the early 2000s, and most of the music I listen to is from around the same era (Three Days Grace, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, etc.). But I listen to music of all eras, and Aerosmith is definitely one of the best classic rock bands, up with The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and Kiss, to name a few. Sucks that they can't finish their farewell tour, and it sucks that that is yet another band I love that I won't be able to see live. Living legend, hope Aerosmith and Steven Tyler can enjoy their retirement.
  • Saw them during their second run... in the Geffen era, on the Get A Grip tour. At that point they were already getting older but Steven was still doing backflips on stage... it was crazy. Dude is a helluva frontman and will be considered one of the best for a long time.
  • @dazza3115
Thanks for the music and the joy you've given us all.
  • @sycpup
There are many bands that need to follow Aerosmith's lead!
  • You forgot about Get Your Wings lol but yes Toys in the Attic was their breaktrhough into the mainstream
  • How can anybody be surprised? He broke his larynx! Steven is 75 years old. I’m sure he’s not going to risk not even being able to talk for the rest of his life. I sure am happy I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s . I’ve seen them play many times . Got to meet Steven and Joe in a parking lot in Buffalo. What nice friendly laid back guys . Enjoy your retirement. Enjoy your family’s. You never know when you might bump into one of them coming out to see other bands . Thanks for all the great times and music
  • First time I saw Aerosmith was in Hartford on 8-26-74. They opened for Deep Purple. Aerosmith did 2 encores and the crowd wanted more Aerosmith. Deep Purple were huge at the time and had met their match. 🙃
  • Aerosmith is my favorite classic rock band of all time. the hard rock they did, the swing and blues, the country styles. I grew up with them when my mother had bought me the greatest hits on CD, then i had to buy aerosmith on guitar hero wii as 12 year old. then i had to buy pretty much every major album they had on CD as a kid at half priced books. they were my gateway to rock music besides christian rock like skillet or audio adrenaline. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are probably some of the most talented musicians to ever exist. Ive been in a tight spot financially for a while and was planning on saving tickets to take my mom with me to chicago to see them on this farewell tour.... well now... still gotta get that tobacco sunburst les paul that Joe grew up with. Aerosmith is a legend and i love them all.
  • Even though I was born in 1998, I grew up listening to mostly 2000s bands like Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, & Creed. Also, I grew up listening to classic rock bands like AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith. Aerosmith blew me away as a child and I still listen to it now as an adult. I’m very sad that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith are retiring which it sucks because I really want to go see them live. I just want to say thank you Steven Tyler and Aerosmith for an incredible 50 year career and thank you for your music that has helped me through dark times. You guys will always be legends!
  • Saw Aerosmith and AC/DC at Alpine Valley in the late 70s. Awesome concert.
  • Toys in the attic was their third album. Get Your Wings was the second album.
  • Listening to "Rocks" and smoking weed by myself late at night in my car. The music etched memories that are still with me today. No lead singer who sang with an edge in their voice ever had the longevity of Seven at that high level. No one. I have played for 45 years live myself on the average of 10 gigs a year. I cannot imagine the amount of times that guy has pushed his voice to the edge. Much respect, and epic appreciation. You.....are the freaking man.
  • I grew up listening to Aerosmith my mom and dad were big fans my and my 2 sisters still listening to them 30+ years later thank you for the great rock music
  • Toys in the attic was their 3rd album. Their sophomore album was Get your wings
