I have never read Winnie the Pooh and listening to you talk about that book, I must read it!

Hi Andrea, so happy to see you uploading again ❤ I did notice a few weeks ago but life was messy and my timeline as well. But this morning I woke up hours early and I realised I've got a small backlog now, yay! So here we go! 🎉
  • I've never read any of the books, but I should. What pleasantly surprised me when I revisted the cartoons was how similar they felt to Looney Toons (albeit with the edge taken off); there's something there for a wide range of audiences. I don't know how much that connects to the meditative side that you like, but I'm sure I'd appreciate that too!

I loved Winnie the Pooh as a kid, and I feel nostalgic for the peace that came with the illustrations and stories. I've been meaning to buy a collection at some point so I don't have to take my childhood collection from my mom.

I grew up loving Winnie The Pooh and watching anything Winnie The Pooh related and I do have a bind up of the books but never fully read them

I have the same thing happening to me with Winnie the Pooh. I grew up with the Disney movies and not the books. At some point in my adult years, I fell in love with the artwork in the books. I have a very lovely book called The Art of Winnie the Pooh. About a week ago I got a gift card, and I was thinking that I should really read the actual books. I picked up nice editions of Winnie the Pooh and House of Pooh corner. I am currently in the middle of the first book, and it was a bit serendipitous seeing this video. I would say that I have always been a bit of a Piglet who could use some lessons from Pooh.
  • The Tao of Pooh was always circling around amongst my circle of friends when I was young, brought out at parties, found on coffee tables, taken to parks with girlfriends, etc. It may be TOO much tao, lol, but a somewhat obscure yet brilliant scholar named Thomas Cleary translated into English some of the most profound literature on Asian philosophies like Taoism. And yes, Alan Watts is ultimate!

Sometimes my wife holds my hand when we're walking along, and says she's being like Piglet who'd do that to Pooh, and say, "I'm just making sure of you." Other people have compared me to Pooh at times, just because I'm a phlegmatic type and take things as they come (to some degree). I read the Tao by Lao T'su and loved it . . .
  • i seen the original/real winnie the pooh toys in new york and it was so cool, felt like meeting a celebrity but better. have never read the books but i did love the disney version growing up, you have made me want to read milne's stories now. have you seen 'goodbye christopher robin'? im not sure how accurate it actually is but i thought it was a really interesting film

Hi Andrea...the other day you were giving me some pointers on a YT channel. I was going to ask you a question but I was too self-conscious to do so but it is a huge stumbling block in starting a booktube channel. I am worried that I won't like to listen to myself talk or want to look at myself when I edit. I am very insecure about everything when it comes to myself(this is NOT fun to admit)...if you have any of these concerns, how have you overcome it? I know there are many ppl who are like me so I shouldn't feel so silly admitting this, but here we are. I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you, as always!
