It's literally so comforting to here Abby talk about how she wears her emotions on her sleeve and cries all the time because I'm the exact same way. It's something I always got made fun of for or people were always concerned that I was depressed but it's just how I show emotion is through tears.

OH MY GOSH, breastfeeding and pumping are two of the hardest and most mentally taxing things I've ever done, and it completely blindsided me because women don't talk about it and make it look so natural. Even one of my closest friends who has breastfed all of her babies and makes it look like the easiest thing in the world told me how hard the first 6 weeks are...except not until after I had my baby and was struggling, so I had no clue! I ended up almost exclusively pumping and you nailed it on the head, Abbey; you wouldn't think it, but keeping up with the pumping schedule, how much you pump, the milk supply, bottles, dishes, etc. is literally mental gymnastics. And when you're already suffering from postpartum brain fog, it seriously feels like the biggest weight is on your shoulders to keep up with. My husband helped in whatever ways he could, but at the end of the day, you're the source of your baby's meals and it's your responsibility to stay on top of a pumping schedule and trying to keep your milk supply up. Trying to breastfeed/pump for my baby's first year is by far the most rewarding and most challenging thing I've ever done. I highly recommend using a small sample of your breastmilk to create breastmilk jewelry to commemorate this time in your life! It's such a blessing to have the supply and be able to provide for your baby in that way, but it's a hefty sacrifice on the mother to do it successfully. I am proud and thankful for the journey, but I don't shy away from how difficult it was.

I BAWLED the first time I ever tried ADHD medication once I finally got around to getting diagnosed because for the first time I could ever remember, I could think to myself "oh I'm thirsty" and then just get up and get a drink of water uninterrupted, when previously I realized 4 HOURS later that I got up to get a drink and never got my drink. I called my mom just sobbing like "everyone else's mind is so clear?? People live like this every day?? It's so much easier". ADHD medication legit changed my life

  • @annie5593
A marriage therapist/ expert series would be amazing! I bet Dave Ramsey’s daughter would do your podcast. Her name is Rachel Cruze! She seems so friendly and nice!

Hey Abby! I am an empath, too. I can cry easily and I feel other peoples’ pain as well as their joys. So I am pretty emotional. I do feel weak when I can’t control the tears, but it isn’t a sign of weakness-just a sign of emotion. And if I have an adrenaline rush from anger or fear-it always comes out in tears! Lol! Love the podcast -especially when it is about you and Matt and the extended family.

My parents started doing a famliy gift every Christmas that was for the family to enjoy. It was usually a new board game or some kind of game, sometimes a puzzle we could put together! Starting a tradition of doing a family gift that is for your whole family is really cool! I think it solidifies the family unit!
  • As a senior citizen, I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts and clips. I look forward each week to listening and sometimes do it on bits and pieces because I am busy. You two are very honest, loving, and kind people. Your stories and easy conversations are a delight to here. After hearing your resolutions I just don’t want you to overextend yourselves. You have two little boys that will grow up quickly so enjoy each and every minute. You won’t get this time back. Pick one or two resolutions and do them well. Don’t spread yourself thin. And keep growing in your obvious love for each other. If you are ever in New Jersey, I’d love to meet you both as well as Griffin and Angie. I’ll even babysit! Keep up the good work!
  • I’ve watched every episode! I love that y’all will talk about anything and everything on here! I also love that you go between having guests and just y’all having a conversation! It would be so awesome to meet y’all one day! ❤

I don't think I've seen every episode but I have seen the majority! I can relate to so many of your episodes since my husband and I were high school sweethearts as well and got married young. As well as having 2 kids close in age!
  • I completely relate to the RSV story. At 4 Months old my baby boy was diagnosed with RSV. When the doctor left the room, I SOBBED. I blamed myself too cuz I know he got it from me. It was such a scary 2 weeks
  • @jmeboil
Abby could always ask her primary care doctor for a PT (physical therapy) referral for headaches / migraines. It might be coming from her neck tightness and it’s covered by insurance vs some chiropractors
  • @theammonsfamily3
I’ve listened to every podcast now on Apple Podcasts and it is my absolute favorite! So much advice and comfort as a young 23 year old wife and mom of 2. Thank you for being so open and honest ❤️
