Best part of the debate was Gladwell’s self-reflection on why he lost.

Great example of someone who can’t accept that they’ve made a mistake. Look it up.

Don't sell yourself short Matt. Sure Douglas is a great debate performer, but your humbleness in presenting factual arguments really cemented your side of the debate. You guys made an outstanding team in presenting your side of the issue.

Matt Taibi has the one thing Malcolm Gladwell sorely lacks - humility!

You know the person you're debating with has no substance to their rebuttal when they have to resort to ad hominem attacks and baseless slander.

I had really enjoyed Gladwell's books when I was younger.....but I saw that "debate" and chucked his books into the trash. I just can't respect someone who just tosses out unfounded racism accusations because they know they're losing the argument. Showed his real character and who Gladwell truly is at the core.

It's like losing a fencing match and then just pulling the pin on a grenade. "Well, if I can't win then no one else will either...."

If the "legacy media" showed even a shred of humility, and an indication that they would work to do better, I think almost everyone would give them a chance.
The arrogance, the hubris.... it just rubs me wrong.

I lost ALL respect for Malcolm Gladwell. I had seen/read his books and never seen him speak. Watching him speak was like seeing the twitter profile of a journalist, you go "holy crap, you look and act like THAT? Why did I ever trust your words." Him intentionally getting his opponents names wrong was straight out of highschool and unbecoming of any adult of repute.

And his own follow up to the debate sealed it, not that anyone was surprised. He refused to grow, accept defeat, or change in any way. Instead, he dug in further to try and pretend to his followers that he won.

Gladwell demonstrated "The person who is high on the smell of their own farts" ...

Attacking the person and not the argument is not likely to earn you many points in contests like this.

Jordan peterson is a hero and legend . God only how many lives he saved . And so many more that were moved to become a force of good to help balance the universe

He did NOT insinuate that Matt was racist, he flat out stated that he was.

The truth always comes out.

Matt Taibbi is unnecessarily humble. He is a genuinely heroic reporter. The debate itself was epic.

I saw that debate and was astonished at what Gladwell was saying. I think most people who witnessed it felt similar.

By and large Canadians are not racists. We believe in fairness, everyone pulling their own load, and being accountable.

Oh man I watched Dr.Peterson do the Munk debates (I believe he has done at least 2 that I know of possibly more, I also watch Dr.Peterson do tvo pre-fame) And Dr.Peterson has been in the zone for at least two decades 👍👍👍

Oh so exciting! I have been wanting to see Dr. Peterson sit down with Matt for ages!
