Let's Learn Something: Project no.29
Good day, guys
This is it Guys, after a few months of work here is the look of our converted engine from fridge compressor and I also used a vapor type carburetor because it is easy to make.

Enjoy and Stay Safe Guys.

I was a welder/fabricator for many years before becoming a toolmaker then mechanical engineer where I worked in automotive manufacturing engineering. I designed the machines and processes that make engine and transmission parts. This guy is on a whole other level the way he makes everything by hand with the most basic tools. He's an artist.

Cutting a functional gear using nothing but a drill press and an angle grinder.... Holy hell that is some serious skill right there. Seriously impressive. Even making an entire cylinder head assembly from scratch. No words to express this.
  • @Kinann
There it is, the basic 4 stroke engine. Everything else up until now has only been an improvement on this basic design. Simply amazing.

This man is highly skilled. He makes it look easy, some of u engineers are blown away thinking u over complicate things but truth is very few ppl in the world can build with basic tools like he does. Rest of us really need micrometers and precision tools to make something like this work.
  • Been drag racing and building high hp engines all my life 37 years to be exact. But to see someone construct a head from scrap metal. All the while think how is he going to build the cam. When you welded one out of 2 beads on a bolt and it worked i lost it. Great video any race team could use a guy like you with quick unique thinking on the fly.
  • Impressive your ability to adapt and build these magnificent engines with simple materials, congratulations!

Я так понимаю если этому парню дать токарный, и фрезерный станки, он соберет ракету))

The apparent ease with which he made the OHC and valve rockers was engineering poetry in motion. I was just a little bit dubious about the looseness of the valve stems, and the apparent compression ratio , about 100:1 ?! - but hey what a job. You're a genius , my friend.

Really shows you how simple a 4 stroke engine can be, and the craftsmanship is incredible, making your own cylinder head and rocker arms was above and beyond.

Talent! I'm in my 38th year as a tool and die maker and I enjoyed watching you build this. Great job! I guarantee you most so called toolmakers in the untied states would fail at building this using your resources and methods. Fantastic skills.
  • @oromike
Impressive, the 112 degree lobe separation angle on the cam was just perfect. Ultimate steam punk.
  • @martynflynn8368
That was a pure joy to watch. I love the valve train and valves made from screws, ingenious!
  • My eyes grow big and my head ache when he turn a piece of scrap metal into a sprocket. Million times RESPECT man! HATS OFF to you. You're the one!
  • @Sailingon
Going to make an engine out of a fridge compressor. Oh a two stroke? Errm no a four stroke and out of hand tools. Ingenuity of the genius kind. I'm truly stunned
  • I heard about doing this way back in the day when I was in grade school. Never seen it done until now. Thank you for taking the time to film this and show it running.
  • @ghmh
U proved it is possible and doesn't break! As child my father had some fridges compressors i wondered always if i could turn them into an engine.
  • @clark2711
That is some real talent.. The way you made that gear and camshaft and not to mention the entire cylinder head from scratch. I'm at the loss of words.
  • @ljk075
Couldn’t stop watching.. thinking how he is going to do certain things only with a grinder, and then he does it.. just freaking amazing..
  • I'm just amazed. 43 million views in one year. That's impressive! Nice work, you're a true craftsman 👍🏽
  • @johnsteinmetz4000
How you are able to craft the pieces is truly amazing. You have an amazing gift. It's hard to pick the most impressive part because the whole video is but the camshaft really blew my mind.
