Hey guys, Lisa here! If you didn’t already know, I am super frikin excited to share that I’m writing a book! To be the FIRST to get sneak peeks about my book and other exclusive content go to: lisabilyeu.com/ and be sure to sign up for my newsletter.

You’ve been lying to yourself. Yes, everyday in the privacy of your own mind, you tell yourself lies over and over again. Most of the time, these lies are destructive and push your thoughts into negative places, thus bubbling up bad emotions and causing you to feel sad, depressed, anxious, frustrated, or angry. Well, it’s time to make a change—to start lying to yourself in a positive way. It’s time to stop criticizing yourself and start praising yourself instead.

On this episode of Women of Impact, Lisa Bilyeu is joined by hypnotherapist, founder of rapid transformational therapy, speaker, and bestselling author Marisa Peer to discuss such matters and more as they explore ways to stop telling yourself destructive lies and begin speaking to yourself in a positive and uplifting way that informs your thoughts and behaviors to change for the better.

They discuss why the thoughts you create dictate your emotions and behaviors, the power of connecting your mind and body, why you need to confront your thoughts head on and discover the root cause of them, why you have to begin telling yourself positive lies, why creating stories in your head is dangerous, how our thoughts influence our relationships, what RTT is and the power it has, how childhood trauma and lack of our needs being met influences us as adults, and why it’s okay to mess up time and time again.

You deserve every raindrop of blessings. I uploaded a really deep story of mine yesterday on my channel fighting mental illness, raising 8 kids under age 12 and creating videos is HARD. But i am passionate to uplift lives. keep believing in yourself where ever you are

I KNOW God used this channel and Marisa Peer to change my life. After listening to her and other episodes of WOI I finally fell in love with my own self at age 34. I have been rejected my whole life by both my parents, sister and men. My mother has always been extremelly abusive and I grew up hearing her say she should have aborted me, that I am a piece of shit and that she wishes I die. And I believed that, until few weeks ago when God finally set me free from that internal rejection. Today I love myself, I accept myself and I know I am beautiful, enough, important and loved by God! Every night before I fall asleep I say out loud 10 beautiful things about myself. And when I wake up I say out loud "I love myself" and I look at the mirror and say "good morning marvelous". Thank you Marisa and Lisa for your beautiful work.

Always I was the "perfect girl", the smart one at school and university in my country. Now I am living in Germany and I feel like a total failure, going through heavy anxiety and even depression sometimes because I still want to be the perfect one, the best at the university here. But that is irreal because here is full of smart people, and I feel so tiny. It's so good to have this kind of interview from which we can learn and relearn how our brain works and how feelings and thoughts really affect the reality we create day by day. Thank you very much for this great interview.

Marissa has developed a great skill at cutting through the bullshit and stripping things of their excuses. It is a clarity that isn't taught in traditional psychology counselling much to everyone's loss.

I realize my negative thoughts come from my childhood and I struggle daily. right now I feel like I'm in a fight with my mind that hits me from out of no where. In my mind I am screaming. I sometimes don't sleep at night. Now, I have come across this video and I am watching with the hope of understanding ME and the HOPE of BREAKING away for those negative thoughts that stick like S**t.

We cannot suppress an emotion, but we can change the thought that is the source of it. We can change what to focus on 👀. We can control what we tell ourselves repeatedly and use empowering language💪🏽🔥. Thank you, Lisa, I love Marisa’s work. Much love to all of you ❤️❤️❤️.

Lisa, you have inspired me to actually start my own YouTube channel to support women find happiness & make money online ❤️
  • It’s so true that the mind is so powerful. Thoughts are real because it’s what you’ve allowed your mind to think.. garbage in garbage out .. good in and good out! so then control what and who you let in. Very powerful concept for living our lives to the full positive of its capacity 🤓🤗

So I was born in 1970. I'm of Italian American ancestry...we did not talk back. Ever. Nobody wants the wooden spoon. So now I have teenage boys. I'm trying to teach them how to speak up, discuss their preferences in a way that gets heard, is effective. Quite challenging, indeed, to parent in a way one was never parented. It's like Marissa says, what happens when your kid is 15 and their friends want to make questionable decisions? Thank you, Lisa & #TeamLisa for getting this message out there today.
  • Thank you so much for this, between Marisa Peer and Dr. Ramani Im getting the therapy I could never have afforded. Again thank you so much 🙏❤🙏❤🙏
