Damon was grooming Rhaenyra from the start. He doesnt have genuine feelings for her. Bringing her to a brothel is a classic groomer move. As for Alicent and Rhaenyra's friendship was always biaised by the fact, that Alicent was subservient to her (and subservient to her father). Rhaenyra's position allows her to flaunt the rules but Alicent cannot.

I would love if they did another spin off series following the events of Aegon's conquest, or even one where we get to see Valyria before the doom. I kept my expectations low for HoD, after everything that happened with GoT, but it has really grown on me and I cannot wait for season two!!
