Tywin: "Tyrion will do as he bids" Cersei: Laughs Tywin: NEW TARGET ACQUIRED
  • I love how she goes from “I am Queen Regent!” to “Father don’t make me do it again, please” in the span of 10 seconds. Everyone in Tywin’s presence crumbles under his aura of absolute authority. Charles Dance was incredible in this role.

“My children..” the disdain in his voice. God he’s good

Cersei: "You should be thanking the gods for this, this is more than you deserve." Twyin: YOU JUST ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD! ARRANGED WEDDING!!!
  • @TheKpa11
“You’re my daughter” Tywin said calmly
  • “Put an end to the disgusting rumors about you” doesn’t even mention Jaime. Lmao Jaime had a free pass for everything w this guy

I love how Cersei is the queen and practically one of the most powerful people in the seven kingdom, but when Tywin is in the room, she's just a frightened little girl who obey her father.

“My children…”, how he says that with such disappointment. Tywin is a truly fascinating character, so strong and sad.
  • I love how Cersei is so bitchily smug at Tyrion's forced marriage until Daddy knocks her down a peg. This is such a great scene, I adore Tywin. He's my favorite character on the show.
  • Lena Hedley amazing acting. She almost reverts to a frightened young girl at the thought of being married off once again.
  • Charles Dance simply being great. His performance as Tywin was outstanding! I honestly believe he was the only one who actually knew how to play the Game of Thrones. A truly amazing character.

Ahh.. the good old days of great writing, casting, and acting. We'll always have those memories

You have to credit Tyrion for his genuine empathy towards Sansa. Tyrion knew that Sansa earlier lived in a fairy tale fantasy world of princes and princesses. He knew she needed to grow out it, but he also knew it was hard to think of anything crueler to her than to chain her to a Dwarf, and a member of the family that had decimated hers. Tyrion had no issue with paying whores to bed him, but had no delusions about what the prospect would do to Sansa. Also credit Dinklage for the acting job, once it sinks in what exactly Tywin has in mind.

3:29 Tyrion-"I'll get the crossbow." Cersei-"I'll bring a large heavy bag."
  • @FefeElChat
"It is past time you were wed." "I was wed." Dinklage delivers this line with such intensity, you really feel that wound of his first "marriage" will never truly heal

Just imagine how unstoppable the Lannisters would be if Tywin actually respected and loved Tyrion. Their combined minds would easily conquer.

Cersei’s last attempt at manipulation is to change her voice to that reminiscent of a soft spoken young girl and she begs Tywin “please father don’t make me do it again”. I love that part of this scene because it shows you the deep seeded ptsd Tywins kids still harbor from their childhood from being controlled by him for so long

Tywin says at the beginning that their business here includes Cersei too, but shes so busy reveling in Tyrion's misery that she doesn't even question what her role is. Truly captures how short-sighted she is.

Understated best part of this scene: Even after Cersei laughed at Tyrion's situation, he didn't laugh at hers. When Tywin revealed his plans for Cersei, Tyrion looked at her with concern. They never got along and she was always horrible to him, but he still cared for her and knew how traumatized she had been in her first arranged marriage. Such phenomenal acting by all three in this scene.
