The early days of that musical explosion was such a wonderful time to be alive.
  • I miss the old days of Sub Pop.. everything was new and fresh and exciting Not saying it isn't now but when it was taking flight I feel there were more risk with great rewards compared to playing it safe of today..

The sad part is that grunge 30 years ago---and ideals like defiance, irreverence, danger, controversy---was the last music revolution to shake up the music industry and culture. There hasn't been a backlash against the corporate machine in 3 decades.

So cool- I love their sorta aggressive defence of the artists they represent.

Just listened to Jon & Bruce interview on How I Built This with Guy Raz podcast today - really interesting to listen to these two.
  • its crazy how they were talking about what the bands were portraying in videos and what not...being indecent ....nothing compared to the trash that is EVERWHERE today in the ...so called... music scene...or mainstream ! give me the 90s any day !!

Unfortunately, things like the World Wide Web, Autotune and digital audio technology has ensured there will never again be a regionally based music scene akin to what happened in the PNW.
  • Does anyone know the opening song? Ive searched everywhere it's sooo good help!
