Someone finally got it right. To bad the lease will expire. This should be permanent!

"Can't assume what people want just because we would want that." This quote sums up a core issue in dealing with homelessness. Too many people working on solving homelessness think they know what's best, rather than listening.
  • It actually makes me angry because it's so common sense. How can shelters kick people out at 5:00 a.m. and then expect them to have a productive day lugging all their belongings everywhere?

Very good idea I like the way this place operates it should be very successful model in the future for other people to follow💯🙌✅👻🙏😸⚡️
  • Most homeless people in Florida have jobs. They are the clerks at Walmart and retail stores. They cook your McDonald's. Their employers only hire part-time for full-time businesses so they don't have to pay benefits. Congress agrees with the employers because they refuse to pass laws requiring full time businesses to hire full time workers, or pay enough to rent an apartment.
  • Hands down this has to be one of the better ideas that I've seen in a long time to help our fellow man and woman that is struggling with homelessness. This gives them an opportunity to feel safe they have somewhere to go that's warm and they can have camaraderie and counseling just seems like this is a good idea. Yes there's always going to be hiccups Growing Pains for a new program. But this from standing on the outside looking in I think this is a good start very very good start I would like to help and support this keep up the good work God bless everyone. Just my opinion Joe Dirt west rim Arizona.

Wow!! Bless Robby for her inspiration and a great model for the nation to find a safe refuge for these men and women to feel like themselves again and granted them the freedom to make their own curfew and with just a little restricted rules Wich is an excellent remedies for them to find comfort and a warm and secure spot rather than on the street feeling hopeless . My heart rejoice of happiness to sees that a humans beeing has been fed , clothes , and a safety spot to lay down at night until they had their own permanent housing . Pure love from Roby what she has in store , God bless Robby and her endeavors!💖💖💖💖🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

we have some money for other country but no money for our homeless? look at how many homeless population we have...

I like this. I would also like tiny homes. This would be an interesting case study. The worst thing with homelessness is having to carry around your stuff while you go out and look for work or try to get services. I like this.

Thank you for that. I'm glad you were paying attention. I work for a nonprofit and we get homeless who won't even sleep in the bed we provide them in their own bedroom that they share with one other person. They would rather sleep on the floor. Some don't want to come off the streets because they can do what they want - like she said (no restrictions)
  • Looking through the comments. So many criticize this process or others, but what have they done themselves to solve the problem, or even help??

We have a lot of empty warehouses in my city. Building is very aggressive here, but they either sit empty because they can't lease them out or a business that was there goes bankrupt and the warehouse just sits there empty. And the shelters here kick you out by 7am. Breakfast is at 6am. Even if you have a place where you can leave your stuff, they still make you leave unless the weather is really bad or its the weekend.
