In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens youtube.com/post/UgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY… recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out which unit to buy. This unit was at the top of my list. Now I’m completely sold on it. It has everything I need for my boat. Thank you again!

Great content. I have the Helix 7 MSI G3. After I install it can I power it up and put it in simulator mode with transducer connected? How do you put in simulator and turn off demonstration mode? I was planning to learn/save settings from home in simulator.
  • I have a 7 mega si. To switch over to 83 sonar I believe you have to go on and switch the transducer setting from HW over to 83. Is that correct ?

top channel. subscribed now. On this helix 7 mega di 3 gen does the jig see itself? Why do you say it's good for jigging? I just started fishing and I love slow jigging.

Good video great information. Question..... can I have this in my cabin and have an IPad back at the rear and use the IPad as a second screen ?.

I am considering a Helix 7 to mount next to my 999 CIHD SI (networked together) and use it strictly for GPS mapping but am concerned about its screen size. It would be at the stern on my tiller boat. Would you consider the size of the 7 screen to be big enough for my application?
