How I Shade A Rose Tattoo

In this video I walk you through my approach and thought in which I take to achieve a desired result.
In this video we will be going over the entire process from start to finish from applying the stencil, outlining the rose, and where I apply the shading and why.
I want to point out that this is not a tutorial on how to properly shade a rose tattoo, or how to shade, or the correct way to go about shading. This video is sharing my approach and thought process behind shading and why I put the shading where I do. This is not by any means the only way to approach shading, so take what you want and leave what you don't.
For this tattoo I used my trusty CNC WE Tattoo Machine along with 3 stigma needle cartridges. The sizes of the needles I used were #10 11 & 09RL for the outline and a #10 03RL for the shading.

If you are wanting to get more comfortable with tattooing I highly recommend trying out fake skin. I will leave some links to a good breand called Reelskin. Another good brand to check out that makes good fake skins is Yuelong.
