It finally got cold enough for you two to admit it is cold! Shocking!!! ๐ฅถ๐ฅถ๐ฅถ

I have watched (and enjoyed) numerous videos the couple has provided. I donโt care what this man has for tools at his disposal, from a leatherman, sawmill or tractor. That woman is his greatest asset.
-
Yup, first thing I think of when I wake up to - 50 degrees, is that it's great day to start a garden, and kiss some frozen trees. But that's why I love watching you two just chilling out in the bush. Nice trailer! Yummy looking pot pie! Thanks !
-
You guys grow, preserve, harvest, cook and eat the very best food. I love how you do all these tasks with intention and joy. It makes my heart feel good.
-
Funny how my doctor said it's too cold right now for gardening. It's been 60 degrees lately! What a quack that guy is. ๐
-
Lordy! You know, we would watch you clean the cabin, shower the dogs, bathe the cat, and many indoor projects! I mean, only Alaskan's do yard work when it's criminally cold outside!
-
You two might be the only people who make chores this enjoyable. Thank you for consistently producing great content for our enjoyment.
-
Your eyelashes had the most beautiful frozen snow drops ,it looked magical

My first winter I came up to the eastern Interior, in 1981, I saw -80ยฐ below zero. Cold snaps lasted sometimes for over a month. It warmed up to 0ยฐF and it felt like t-shirt weather. Winter's these days are much easier, thankfully!

When we lived in the Northwest Territories our door hinges would freeze on the inside and the clothes closets would have ice on the back wall. Our oldest son 4 at the time got his tongue stuck on the door hinge when he tried to bite the ice off!! He screamed bloody murder. Eric you stayed pretty calm. We heated with wood but had an oil furnace for back up. On the coldest days it only burned like a little candle. Banking snow up on the house foundation helped because snow never goes below freezing. We only used the oil if we were gone for day. I loved splitting frozen firewood because they would just pop and split so easily. Our coldest day was -72. We stayed inside. It was so cold the smoke from the houses went down to the ground.

I think you are the only channel I watch from start to finish these days.... that , by the way , is very much a nod how you both balance each other.....from my point of view at least... good stuff.

In 1957 I worked as a fireman on the railway in northern Ontario. Minus 60 was not unheard of then. Very difficult to keeping steam engines working in those temps. You are ready to roar come the melt.
-
I've heard of getting your tongue stuck to a flag pole, but I've never heard of getting your lip stuck to a tree! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

Iโve been missing your garden videos. Canโt wait to see them again as you build out the new garden. =)

Wow! That pie sure looks good. The best thing I found for rabbit pelts is half and half plain old borax and salt. Stretch them out on a board and when dry work in some neats foot oil. I have 3 daughters and made each of them fur on the outside mittens. 40 yrs later they still have them. Great vids!

I personally think the two of you are wonderful. ๐ I Love watching your videos. I remember when I first moved to Alaska, people told me not to touch the doorknobs when it was really cold, because my hands could get stuck. Have Fun and stay young as long as you can. ๐๐๏ธ๐น๐ป๐ผโ๐โค๏ธ๐ Your Videos always make me miss Alaska.

Despite the cheechako move of putting your mouth on the frozen wood ๐ , and not being born to it, you two are definitely Alaskans now! Love so much how you roll with the situation and make it work!
-
I'm so excited to see what you two have in store for you gardens. I'm always impressed and inspired by all of your endeavors but am always especially excited to see your gardening content.
-
My uncle used to go hunting for rabbits and my grandmother made a stew that was amazing. Thanks for bringing back those memories
-
That was hysterical when Eric got his lip stuck on the piece of wood! Iโm grateful that you were able to break free without too much damage! Love your videos!
