Modern life and technology have given us this ability to stack and pack more into our lives than we can physically handle and I think what feels even worse than that is that all of this distraction and busyness keeps us from doing the things that are meaningful. I think especially as women a lot of us are really stuck in survival mode and the worst part is that it can be kind of a paradox where you're stuck and you don't know how to get out even though sometimes ending survival mode is a lot simpler than it sounds.

THE WHOLEHEARTED COURSE | a course to teach you how to thrive in the chaos of the modern world.

In my videos you will see my minimalist home, my capsule wardrobe, decluttering, inspiration for slow living with kids, intentional living, minimalist finances, things I no longer buy, things I no longer own, things I buy more of as a minimalist, and just overall my passion and inspiration for simple living!

if you've had an experience with decluttering resulting in exiting survival mode, I wanna hear it!

I just want to tell you how refreshing it is to hear you talk about your faith. I love Jesus too and following his example of being unhurried and simple has been of great help to me. Unfortunate circumstances led me to have to be both mom and dad to my three son’s from the time they were 8 (twins) and 13. I had to be the home maker and the breadwinner. Women are not meant to do the role of the woman and the man. We can’t and we shouldn’t be held to that expectation. I think this is a problem in our society. Great video Madi.

Wow the notion that Jesus comes to women whereas men have to go seeking for him is profound. Thank you for this video and sharing these powerful messages ❤
  • haha "saving shirts with holes in them just in case I got into painting." omg 😆 I have SO much to get rid of at the moment. I have a pile of things that are broken and with holes in them that I have been planning to fix but the pile just keeps getting bigger! I would LOVE to just throw them away to be honest! TODAY! Thank you. I always feel so inspired after watching your videos. I share them often. 😉 💖

Wow when you talked about how Jesus meets woman I almost cried because it’s so beautiful and meaningful that he sees our hearts and where we often feel the most lonely. Please continue to speak more about Christ. I’m saving up for your course I’ve wanted it for over a year. Excited to one day experience it!

I’ve read the Bible 5 times and I’ve never thought about the difference of where God meets women. 💕 Amazing and so very true! 🥰
  • @dayday8332
Your message is the perfect thing I needed to hear right now. With everything going on in the world I have been squirreling things away just in case. I’m realizing it is weighing me down.
  • Girllllll I needed to hear this. I’ve always had a plan A, plan B, sometimes a plan C.
  • Do you meal plan? Have you ever done a video about what your family eats, how often you grocery shop to keep a minimal pantry, etc?
  • @JG-np7qp
im a stay at home dad, and I relate a lot to what youre saying. As a fan of John Mark Comer and minimalism, I feel like there isnt a lot of resources that join these two (faith and simple living). I dont know if your course is only available for women, but I’d be super interested. -JG

I need to add...your Italy video still resonates with me and I am slow walking my life that way.
  • LOVE what you said about where God meets women! How beautiful and powerful. 🙏

I've yoyo'd with minimalism for most of my life. I just want to get off the hamster wheel lately. I've loved Jennifer Scott's 10 item wardrobe for a decade now but I keep stuff "just in case" because I've moved 20x in the past 10 years. I've had to get rid of everything so many times and it didn't always feel like it was my choice. Lord willing, I'm done moving around so I'm letting go of the coping mechanism of holding on to stuff for comfort and having familiar things around for that same reason. My family has always been minimal and lived in small spaces but I know we have too much for us right now. It's totally related to my mindset of survival mode, thanks so much for this video! 🤗✨🌴🌅🌺

The Unhurried Life! I love it❤
  • @cynthiat4753
Again, exactly what I needed to hear! I’m in a season of not being the person who always leads, plans, and prepares. But I’m still learning how to not do those things and feeling like I’m going to combust! 😊
  • This video, particularly the part about "preparing for the worst", really resonated with me. Thank you!
  • @LaurenElise.
I appreciate that I can take a lot from your videos despite the Faith references that I can't relate to, love ur content even as an agnostic person! :) I think your advice is universal regardless

Madi… Your videos are so special: they are real and helpful, full of wisdom, in an inspiring motivating way without being preachy. That’s quite an achievement I believe and very refreshing. Thank you 🙏🏼
  • @Dana-mb1hd
Madisun 💖you don’t know how bad I needed your encouragement today! I’m always in survival mode and just struggling. Your videos help so much💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏
  • Love your videos. I’ve purged an entire apartment and clothing! The difference when I wear natural fibers is amazing. I bought a pair of merino wool pajamas, I just air them out in the morning and can wear them for a week between washes since they are self cleaning. During the day I wear a cashmere sweat suit. I also wash once a week. I looove dresses but find that the styles I like are polyester so I purchased some patterns and plan to sew my copies of my favorite dresses with merino or organic cotton fabrics. I got rid of all of my plastic yoga leggings and plastic Rothy’s shoes. Whne I wear my natural fibers I feel cozy and comfy.
