In his first television interview since the election of Joe Biden as the 46th President, former President Barack Obama sits down with "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King to discuss the first volume of his memoirs, "A Promised Land." He talks about the enormous opposition he experienced as he entered the White House; the impact of his political career on his family; and why he campaigned for his former vice president – and spoke out so vociferously against his successor, President Donald Trump.

  • Presidents come and go and you still see the same faces in congress and senate. See a problem here?
  • @meb.9942
Congress should have a term limit.

I Always liked him and thought he always meant to do the right thing and help the people. I did not always agree with him but could see his reasoning. I will always like and RESPECT this great man!!!! Unlike the person and 4 years of embarrassing turmoil that unfortunately followed.
  • “I have done more for the African American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln…” Literally had me cracking up so hard that my sides hurt. 😂😂😂😂
  • @halex9075
It is truely a shame that that some politicians care more about playing sides than doing what it right.

President Obama is so gracious, humble, decent and respectful. Truly a class act.

Wish we could get him back for another 8 years. My mom always told me “do the right thing even when no one is looking”. I can’t say I have lived by that code as well as I could have but I have tried my best. I feel like Obama is the type of person who lives by that.
  • Still unbelievable that after him we went through four dark years and we are still feeling the sick effects of that.
  • OMG a president that can make coherent sentences in his mother tongue!

I will NEVER understand how you could not love this man whether you agree with his politics or not. He is intelligent, down to earth and charismatic. Just a funny and likable guy.

No one mentions the bravery Obama has in him. A black man running for and achieving the highest office in the USA. I remember thinking ' i wonder how long it will take for someone to take a shot at him'. And I'm sure it went through the minds of him, Mrs Obama, probably everyone at some point. Obama is a great human being. Live long and prosper, Mr Preident.

I'm not saying that the Democrats are in the right, definitely not always, but Jesus, Republican Party, grow a damn backbone.

A real president. A real man. It was an honor to have voted for him.
  • @pah1921il
Not a fan of his politics, but I am a fan of his grace and professionalism.

Barrack is such a likable man, his way of speaking and presenting himself as well as putting his thoughts together just amazes me. He’s Proof that the American dream exists.
