You should have said, "Best European Continent Moments" over the country of the United States.

You should add Sergio Gracia vs. Phill Mickelson (single's of 2016) What a game!

I like how Justin Rose sank the putt to beat Phil Mickelson and started to celebrate the victory, but immediately stopped because he didn't want to offend Phil who had suffered a very hard loss. Pure class and sportsmanship by Jusin Rose. 7:20

This should be called best EUROPEAN Ryder Cup matches

The whole idea behind Samuel Ryder instigating such an event was to promote harmony and sportsmanship between the USA and Great Britain and Ireland as it was then. Unfortunately the whole "us versus them" thing has grown out of hand as of late and the original message seems to have been forgotten, certainly from what I see from some of the comments. Golf is a game of honour, honesty, integrity and humility, Nicklaus and Jacklin being a great example of the way it should be.

A little biased don't you think? These kind of reels create the hardcore American fan base seen at Hazeltine in 2016

My pick for #1 match would be the Sunday match between Christy O'Connor and Fred Couples at the Belfry in 1989. I am surprised it is not shown here.
  • the usa team tarnished the whole etiquette of golf at brookline. no doubt about it
  • @LucindaLarkin
Why have you rated "the most controversial" or the least sporting as number one?
  • @MJSchaefer16
Um, did anyone else notice in this highlight reel that the 2012 matches at Medinah are listed as both #10 and #2?
  • @malcolmbrannen
Wait! There is a player from Scandinavia on the U.S. team.....Phil Mickelson

We need this win at whistling straits Europeans have a great team but I believe the American team has more firepower to pull it out! Go U.S.A.
  • You should really be specific (not cool). I was expecting some American highlights :(

Well, the Euros love to highlight running onto the green at Brookline, but when they won this year, there was a lot of celebration on the green and Euro players lining the green when Zack Johnson was still on the course.  That, and the crowd jeering of Patrick Reed on the first tee when he wouldn't dance for them?   The Europeans have a very selective idea of good sportsmanship.......Not saying that Brookline was fine, but the Euros love to use that as the "Ugly American" example when they themselves are guilty of premature celebration, also.
  • Europe definitely deserved this one the USA just weren't good in the afternoon. Hopefully with a better captain they'll win it back at Hazeltine
