THE PRETTY THINGS - The Acoustic Set - 1967-2020 S.F. Sorrow, Parachute, Emotions, Silk Torpedo etc.

It is difficult to represent a band that is truly the chameleons of rock. Despite making the punkiest R&B, earliest psych and hardest proto-metal, The Pretty Things always kept an ear toward the acoustic CSN&Y side of rock music. Presented here is a somewhat chronological tour of the band from 1967 to 2020 featuring one acoustic (guitar) song from every album.

I would rate The Pretty Things as one of the best and most influential bands to come out of the UK. They kept me intrigued their entire career and their music is among the top ten that I'd choose to have with me if I were on that "stranded desert isle" situation with a turntable, amplifier, and speakers of course. They stayed true to their history and the times. RIP Phil May!!

Love Sad Eye. Perhaps the most heartfelt song I have heard. Has there ever been another recording of this besides the Savage Eye one? And who was lead vocals? Was it Jack Green or Gordan Edwards? Such a hard song to sing
