Fire down under is one of the best heavy metal albums ever ! Every song is an anthem, killer riffs and great vocals by Mr. Speranza.

Those first 3 albums are fantastic. Got to see them in the UK couple of times in the early 80's... Great live band
  • Thank you for your ranking the Top 10 of Riot!! I love the band Riot.🎤🎸🎵🥁

Any Riot song with Bobby Jarzombek playing drums on it is a great song.

Fire Down Under is one of the best Metal albums ever.
  • I was fortunate enough to see Riot with Guy Speranza(RIP) when they opened for Rush in '81. Scalding hot live band!!
  • You are so right about Fire Down Under. Classic from front to back. R.I.P. Mark Reale and Guy Speranza

From start to finish, Thundersteel is one of my all time favorite albums. Vocals, guitars, and drums at their finest!!
  • I can't believe we agree. Swords and Tequila is my clear favorite song of Riot

Been waiting for this. Riot is one of the most underrated bands and perhaps my top classic metal act from the US. And of the best live shows I've ever seen. Rhett Forrester could have been one of the best singers in history if only. And glad to see Restless Breed has its fans. Fortunately they were quite big in countries like Greece and Japan.
  • I only know narita and fire down under. I remember being blown away by the fire on these albums. A young and hungry band. Great vocals. Fire down under is my no 1 track.

Showdown, Altar of the King, Outlaw, Swords and Tequilla.... The outro solo in Outlaw.... doesn't get much better
  • All my top ten come from their first three albums with guy on vocals. 1. Outlaw 2 Overdrive 3 Toyoko rose 4 Kick down the walls 5. Feel the same 6 Hot for love 7 White rock 8 Do you up 9 No lies 10. Run for your life. Awesome and under rated band.

I really like these guys, but don't know enough of their catalog to rank, so I'll enjoy your ranking and then male a playlist from it. Pete's lists are always a good place to jump in! Thanks!!

Thanks Pete for bringing some love to this Fantastic band. I mentioned them in several of my comments and picked Narita as my top 1979 album. Great band, cursed by bad luck and several tragic losses (Guy, Rhett, Mark and very recently their original guitar player Lou A Kouvaris, from Covid19). I think one of the contributing factors to the lack of success was the absence of an appealing image, identity, band logo and the awful artwork on their early albums. Those were very competitive years, and kids and often went for the looks more than the music, the quality. How can you explain otherwise that Venom became bigger than Praying Mantis? Just to name one example
  • Top songs: Warrior Fire Down Under Overdrive Outlaw Swords and Tequila Road Racin Altar of the King Hard Lovin Man Restless Bread When I was young Feel the same...... .... and many more from their LPs with Speranza and Forrester

So much great music throughout their catalog....Mark Reale was an amazing guitarist and songwriter. Plus I'm loving the new music by Riot V.
