This is a video on our search for our perfect loop boat. We never thought the search would be so exhausting and go to so many states. We also didn’t expect to be disappointed multiple times with the boats we looked at. But our search for the perfect boat finally paid off and our Maiden Voyage warning! They said do NOT cross Lake Michigan today but we did anyway! Say hello to TrEd Water!

  • I’ve ran the Pacific Ocean but mostly the Mediterranean Sea in discreet conditions but nothing scares me more than bad weather in the Great Lakes.

Nice boat. Congratulations. In the future, If you want us to hear what your saying, maybe you could kill the music.

Just because you got lucky doesn't mean you were right to try it.
  • One piece of equipment that I would recommend getting is a set of two-way headsets. They aren’t called “marriage savers” for nothing. Also I would strongly suggest that anybody walking on the deck while getting on or off the dock wear a floatation device. In the locks, you will find that it’s a requirement. So get in the habit now. One last piece of advice, communication is the key. You can watch “What Yacht to Do”, Sam and Rev are great at communicating with each other.

Congrats on the boat purchase, video tip sound quality is actually more important then video quality. Get a good mic and dead cat for the wind/ road noise. Use lavalier mics when you can.

Hi, glad the YT algorithm recommended you all... you have been liked and subscribed! We are on our boat purchase prospect fail #9 and were feeling a bit sorry for ourselves. So it is reassuring to learn that it took 14 for you, so hopefully we are at least 3/4 of the way there!
  • Awesome.... 42 year Michigander here ! Lake Michigan has been a part of my life as long as I can remember ! 👍
  • Congrats on good crossing and successful first cruise. have fun with the new boat. I look forward to watching more videos of your cruises.

Good video. 👍😀 Can't wait till I make my boat purchase. You guys all seemed pretty stoked to move across the lake. I've always wondered what it would be like to island hop. I'd like to see Beaver Island,Manitou, maybe find a nice little place to moor in Traverse City or Petoskey. Maybe jot over to Drummond Island in Lake Huron. Anyways, your video was a nice little inspiration. Put a smile on my face. 👍good stuff👍 Safe travels to you and yours.

The two happiest days of a boaters life, when you buy your boat and when you sell your boat. Enjoy!

All boat trips are exciting but the best ones are bringing your new boat home voyages. I have spent many miles on a Sedan and many more on a Sundancer. Anyone that don't like these boats has a personal problem because SeaRay is one of the best Coastal boats you can buy. At least you can be sure it will hold its value better than most. Good luck. Happy boating.

Gosh, I love those yacht boats. If I was younger and single, I'd be living on my yacht... being I make pretty good money somewhat. Boating is exciting to me. Adventure!! I had a little 16ft ski boat once and me and my wife went out on it about 5:00 in the evening traveled about 20 miles to see the fire works on the water beside the North Carolina battle ship in the capefear. It got dark. When head back and we got lost in the inlet. Full moon was out. It was beautiful, but I keeper on riding. My wife fell asleep. Finally made it to the channel at 3:30 in the morning. Long story short. It was an adventure. It was scary but we both had fun when we look back. Oh...no navigation systems. Lol
