I applied but did get “released” from my local school. I’m trying again. We homeschool, so no matter what the school isn’t getting my kid. I hope that it works out for me this year. I think I will do custom for most if not all of my kids classes.

Okay, this might be a long comment. You did a great job covering everything. I have used MTH for several years. First, I wanted to mention that you will get more coverage if you use custom for your elective. For example, my son uses it for lets play music, but we have it as a custom class, and it covers ALL of it because it's pulling from math, englis, and science. This has been really great for my daughte, who is in gymnastics, which nearly takes up all those custom funds. I've had older kids in MTH, they cant be as generic in their class choices, so i was advised to pick classes according to how you want to spend money. Examples my younger son wanted to learn 3D printing, but my older son just wanted to explore different tech stuf. However, because he was older that wasn't a class option. We chose 3D printing and bought a 3D printer that my older son rarely used, but my younger son used all the time. I would love to learn more about how an iep works for a homeschooled kid. We started the process with my son a year ago and although MTH wasn't bad to work with the district doing the testing has been a joke. I've been so frustrated and have been wondering if the benefit will be worth all this trouble. There is a lady who had a google drive spreadsheet she offers for free to help track and organize your receipts. This is my second year using it, and it has been amazing. Her website is haitechmama.com. The hardest part is knowing what they will cover. We've been using Kiwi crates for exploring Tech for the last 2 years, but this year it was denied for that class because the receipts didn't specify what crates we were renewing. I was able to get them covered under Tech allowance and was able to find other things covered under exploring tech, but it was a bit frustrating since we had had it covered for the past 2 yrs. with no problem.
