I Felt Guilty When I Went Into Remission From CANCER!

Published 2024-07-23
Miranda had rashes all over her body and horribly itchy legs. The doctors had no idea what was going on because Miranda’s blood tests kept coming back normal. Eventually, a lump arose in her neck, and it caused excruciating neck pain. Miranda decided to go get the lump checked out, and after a series of tests, Miranda was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

In this video, Miranda describes survivors guilt and how ringing the bell when she was finished with chemotherapy was difficult for her.

  • Ring that bell, dear, ring it loud and proud...not only for yourself, but for all those that couldn't themselves! 🕊️🙏❤️🕯️
  • Oh, please, sweet girl, celebrate your victory!! When my mom had cancer, she never got to ring that bell, but every time we heard it, it gave us hope and the opportunity to celebrate someone elses victory!! It is wonderful to hear that you are cancer free!! Ring that bell every day!! Celebrate you!! We are all cheering you on!! You are cancer free and awesome!!❤🔔

I had stage two cancer that was removed in surgery. It’s hard for me even talk about because I feel so much guilt that I am alright when so many people aren’t.
  • You’re so amazing and empathic. That’s so sweet. If i heard the bell ringing, honestly it would give me hope that I could do it too one day!
  • I didn’t not want to ring the bell either. Fear of if I declare being done with cancer it will come back and others who never got that chance or they are still struggling to get to the bell.
  • I remember being told that my cancer has no cure and that was my thought, I will never ring that bell! I live every day to the fullest and don’t define myself by bell rights. Every day I get with my family is better then ent bell ringing 💜

When my son finished therapy he rang the bell, but the bell was put in the hallway OUTSIDE of the oncology unit. And survivor's grief is a real thing! Both my son as a survivor, and myself as the mom of a survivor, have gone through that guilt. Praying for you. ❤ 🙏
  • I feel the same way. I lost my kidney to stage 3 cancer 8 weeks ago and I feel so guilty that I didn't have to go through chemo. God bless all of you that have to go through that.
  • It's called survival guilt. Know that everyone has their karma, their life path
  • There is a REASON YOU ARE STILL HERE. Your testimony screams volumes and Hod Almighty will USE IT FOR HIS GLORY.. and to encourage faith in others. Proclaim your victory sweet beautiful lady because it was given to you through Jesus Christ.
