Canned Food Review At Walmart - The Best & Worst Foods To Buy In A Can

I headed to Walmart to review canned foods and let you know what to buy and avoid. Some canned foods(tomatoes and tuna) are not only tasty, but an excellent source of nutrition. While others(canned soup and veggies) are tough to find good ones that are loaded with a bunch of stuff you don't want to put in your body. Shop along with me as I scour the canned food section at my local Walmart. Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

SALT LEVELS IN CANNED FOODS:
Consider that there is 2.325mg of salt in one teaspoon, so when a can of soup as 800mg of salt, that is only 1/3 of a teaspoon. While processed foods tend to have a bit more salt than you might cook with at home, I would not be too concerned unless you have high blood pressure. If that is the case, I would buy low sodium products and cook with less sodium(use unrefined salt instead of processed white salt), and squeeze lemon juice in the dish at the end. Acid will heighten the flavor and is a a great replacement for salt. The issue with processed foods is not just the salt, it's the combo of salt, sugar, low quality fat, and preservatives. A soup like Amy's, which has super clean ingredients, doesn't bother me with the amount of salt they use.

  • Thank you Bobby for all your information. My father passed away from cancer and honestly I feel so sad we didn't know about all the information I see from your videos and other Nutrition YouTube influencers. I'm training my family and my future generations to be more aware of the different ingredients and types of food to choose. So you are helping the world to be better. I remember one time you said, you do these videos in honor of someone but I can't remember who she was. She is giving me my life back since I feel like I will probably live longer and healthier. Thanks to her who ever she is and thanks to you, Dessi, Rose and of course thanks to ART!!!
  • I AM A CANCER SURVIVOR— I WATCH YOU ALWAYS AND VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR ACCURATE INFORMATION. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS❤️❤️

Bobby, I can not thank you enough for all of your food guidance. I tell my doctors, dentist, chiropractor. You are the best!
  • You are doing such a great thing with bringing more awareness to people about their food purchases. I've been buying organic for years and still trying to educate friends and family about GMO, pesticides, sugar and hydrogenated oils. Thank you so much for what you are doing to promote the good health of everyone.
  • My peeps , think about how much research bobby and art have done to provide us with all this valuable information , that in my opinion is life saving , you are what you eat . junk I'n ,junk out , Thanks Bobby for the time you spend enriching our minds and bodies.
  • Hi Bobby, I contacted Amy's Kitchen a bit ago to inquire about their oils. They responded with the following: "Thanks for asking. We only use safflower and/or sunflower oil that is expeller pressed". If this is true, than the chilies they make and others would be OK. Additionally, I have found about half of the Campbell's Well Yes! canned soups have carrageenan in them. The other half however do look pretty clean.

Kudos to you for doing this video! As you point out, not everyone has easy access to a ton of fresh foods, as much as we wish everyone did. Thank you, man!

Our Kroger sells the Swanson Organic Chicken Broth. It doesn’t have Natural Flavors but it does have Chicken Flavoring. Other than that it is the cleanest I can find. Thanks for your videos, Bobby! You have completely changed the way I look at food and what I buy for my family! Keep up the good work!

This is my kind of show. Details and information on those additives. Most people don't know what these additives are. Many don't care. Sad you have to spend so much more money to get any nutrition anymore. I definitely try to avoid the GMO and I eat organic as much as possible. I don't mind paying for the extra if it's worth it.

  • Bobby & Co., Thanks for all you guys do to educate people on this channel. I never fully realized how much crap I was eating until I started watching your videos. Now I'm trying to educate myself to better navigate the food and grocery world. Keep on doing the good work!

The Sodium levels in canned Veggies and beans, Soups, etc are off the charts in a lot of these canned products. Organic and low Sodium is something to look at. Thanks for schooling me Bobby...much appreciated 🙏
  • @timoback3000
I check the sodium, added sugar levels, check the oils types and check for enriched flour and all the time now. Your videos have helped me alot.
  • @zenkakuji3776
I typically don't shop at Walmart for food but it's good to know that there are some canned items of vegetables that would be good to use. Thanks!
  • I have learned so much from you. My eating habits have changed for the better so I thank you. I recently received your cookbook as a gift and today I plan to start picking out recipes to try. Keep up the really good work. It does matter. ☮️

Dear Bobby I want to thank you soo much for putting all your hard work and dedication helping us eat healthy and a have healthy life. I used to eat all kinds of foods but one thing I don’t realize is that there’s so much food with bad ingredients and I always end up feeling sick and depressed. Now I know how to cook my own meals and I started eating healthy and clean because of you, I feel like my life has completely changed god bless you sir.
