"A Song of Ice and Fire (commonly abbreviated as ASoIaF) is an ongoing series of epic fantasy novels by American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin. Martin began writing the series in 1991 and the first volume was published in 1996. The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place in a fictional world, primarily on a continent called Westeros but also on a large landmass to the east, known as Essos. Most of the characters are human but as the series progresses others are introduced, such as the cold and menacing supernatural Others from the far North and fire-breathing dragons from the East, both thought to be extinct by the humans of the story. There are three principal story lines in the series: the chronicling of a dynastic civil war for control of Westeros among several competing families; the rising threat of the Others, who dwell beyond an immense wall of ice that forms Westeros' northern border; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter of a king who was murdered in another civil war fifteen years before, to return to Westeros and claim her rightful throne. As the series progresses, the three story lines become increasingly interwoven and dependent upon each other."

Featuring an ensemble cast, the show portrays the events leading up to the beginning of the decline of House Targaryen, a devastating war of succession known as the "Dance of the Dragons"."

It is really a wonder what was going through the writer's minds when deciding to make Rhaenys trample over the large crowd of people. She is being depicted as the most level headed and pragmatic person on the black's side. Making her do because it sounded cool to them on paper really threw a wrench into Rhaenys's character and was dumb

I know they chose to give Rhaenys Targ Silver Hair because they thought casuals would be confused, but I wish they gave her Baratheon Black Hair for three reasons: Variety, more than half of the main cast are Targs, some deniability that Jace, Luke and Joff were Velaryons and to prove the Seed is Strong to link it back to the Golden days of GOT.

Rhaenys had black Baratheon hair from her mother. Something the show looked over I guess

Eve Best did a brilliant job with her portrayal of Rhaenys, her presence will be missed in the show. She was a fierce mother and an amazing Dragon Rider in the book and show.

If a Targaryen doesn’t have silver gold hair, they are usually pretty awesome

I like how black-haired Targaryens seem that much more cooler, which in itself makes a closed circle. Black-haired Targs are seen as a lesser people than white-haired ones, which makes black-haired work harder and more on themselves to prove their worth, which can in turn make them more capable than white-haired. The trick is in the fact that black-haired Targs are born in times when Targaryen dynasty sits tightly at the throne and usually a Black-haired Targaryen is skillfull, but a sign of dangerous times to come.

Long live Rhaenys, the queen who never was and should've been. She did her duty even in the face of death, and went out like a boss.

Only thing I really hated was how they ruined the green council and Rhaenys doing the dragonpit thing. It still blows my mind that her grandmother was Alyssa Velaryon, and her mother was the half sister of Jaehaerys and Alysanne.
