Lesson learnt from video= letās put Oscar piastri in every team. Heāll be his calm Aussie self
-
It would make my spirit so happy to see Alex and George race as teammates at Merc
-
Can we just conclude that Piastri has almost the best curriculum of the F2 era and should be treated as a golden rookie like Leclerc and Russell? Imo he should only be below rookie Verstappen in hype.
-
Answering your question: Well, here in Spain, Fernando is more than a driver. He is an icon and his fans are beyond loyal and passionate. In a country that loves football and has guys like Nadal, the biggest movement around and athlete goes to Fernando by a wide margin. Carlos is oftenly criticized and meme material and he is not close at all to Alonso BUT we love him too and as soon as he recovers (first half of 2022 was really harsh) people will support him like in the McLaren days, maybe more. The support he got during Monza weekend was unreal.
-
Never thought about the combo of Max and Nico, but thats a great shout. Nico is a qualifying machine, and give him a solid car, he can deliver in a race too.
-
I think a Fernando/George combo would have a lot of the same issues as Lewis/George or Fernando/Ocon. Someone as established as Fernando is not going to take kindly to the way George constantly attempts to prove himself by racing his teammate
-
If I was RBR I would make a go for Piastri over Norris, for the simple fact that the team needs to start thinking not only of having a power pairing, but of grooming not a competitor but a SUCCESSOR for Max. Itās not too early, not at all and Max loves Motorsport not just F1 and has made that clear. But Hulk as a solid number 2? Yes please! If they go that route, Hulk would be a perfect pairing and they do have a great relationship and even friendship.
-
I've always thought reuniting Max and Carlos would be an interesting duo now that they have both significantly developed from the Toro Rosso days. Carlos doesn't seem to be quite as far down the Ferrari rabbit hole as Charles so he'd be slightly more attainable and I'd see him as something very similar to the 2018 Ricciardio that Red Bull would be hoping to get if they brought Daniel back.
-
Everyone seems to be obsessed with the idea of Lando going to redbull but I just canāt imagine him as the second driver to max. Redbull will always prioritise max so I actually think Checo has been a really good team mate. Good team player
-
100% will still support Sainz just as much as Alonso when Alonso retires. When Alonso retired the first time Sainz was the only one, and that support will never go away
-
I havenāt watched the video yet but if Minton doesnāt make an appearance Iāll be upset
-
bottas and checo together would be the ultimate underdog team
-
It couldnāt happen realistically but I reckon Leclerc and Hamilton would be a proper dreamy lineup. Not sure what their relationship is like but personality and talent wise itād be amazing
-
I love how everyone was predicting a French implosion just for the to be one of the best combinations on the grid š.
-
Alonso and Sainz would be a great driver pairing for Aston Martin. They got the Spanish connection, Alonso respects Sainz and vice versa (Alonso was Sainz's idol), Carlos has the pace to back him up and maybe take control of the team after Alonso retires
-
I can't believe you didn't say Fernando/Norris! They were awesome teammates already in WEC, Fernando respects him, and Lando is introverted and focused on himself enough to put up with Alonso's ego. They would definitely be sparky, though.
-
Would love verstappen sainz reunion. People forget that of all of verstappens previous teammates, Sainz was by far the closest in race pace and even beat him head to head in quali. If red bull remain the most dominant car on the grid till 2026, we could have Rosberg Hamilton esque championship fight.
-
I would say that Carlos and Charles are getting closer and closer in pace. If the car stays this inconsistent Carlos could be just as fast as Charles if not even faster, and it could cause problems in the future. Otherwise, in the 2022 more predictable car, I think it's a great pairing.
-
Feel like youāve missed on the Mercedes take. I think the thing that separates Lewis and George from Lewis & Nico is that they have these little moments but theyāre completely fine after the race. George just has this confidence that heāll beat Lewis. Where as Nico showed more fragility. And with Bottas it nearly consumed him.
-
Hot take: The Alpine duo is the duo of the season. They have shown their ability to fight for podiums and have been the closest on pace.
