  • There’s just something I love about seeing a man dance so elegantly in work boots and cargo pants
  • I feel like I just saw something so personal, almost as If I wasn’t supposed to see this. One’s inner fight with himself.
  • @jnmaves
Sergei doing a half a dozen fouette turns in work boots, and pointed toes just shows how immensely talented he is! So beautiful to watch. 🩰

Wow Sergei's dancing is sublime. It's masculine and so elegant. The jumps are so powerful but light and precise.
  • @lindylyda7901
the sexual energy between this man and himself is TOO mucch

I love how he danced to “take me to church” and now he’s in the offical video for a hozier song
  • I don't know what the true meaning or story of this video is but I interpreted it as someone facing himself and also finding himself through the movement. As he dances he finds more versions of himself, more faces he might have not found otherwise. I love it. This song is so special to me.

it is 2023 and this is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful songs and most stunning breathtaking videos, that I have ever been graced with. Thank you.

I feel like I was just told a story, but in a language I do not speak.

"You're less Polunin leapin' , or Fred Astaire in sequence. Honey, you, you're Atlas in his sleepin'" to compare someone not more of the artistic expression of an awe-aspiring dancer, but instead, to a strong, unfathomable yearning to move from an entity eternally entrapped in a state of inertia, burdened between the weight of the heavens and the grinding earth beneath him he could only be free to move within the sanctuary of his subconscious is * chef kiss *

I can't describe it, but at about 2:47, when the choir starts singing, I feel like the human prison I'm trapped in is ripped away, revealing my iridescent soul, and I can finally be free enough to dance with the wind, and it feels like my tears can become star dust, and this new form is limitless, and my heart pounds from the depths of my soul, and I want to sing and raise my voice so loud the moon will hear it. It feels like what true, pure, love feels like. Not a soft, gentle love, but loud, adrenaline inducing, heart pounding, love that no man could ever truly give me. It feels like the universe's excitement, love, and longing for adventure put into song form, for us mere humans to enjoy.

Polunin: Leaps through air gracefully wearing jacket, jeans, and boots Me: Trips on my shoestrings wearing velcro shoes

The emotion in this is so strong it made me try Sergei's movements in the middle of the living room. I fell of course and hurt my knee. But it was worth letting it out.
  • I still watch you when you're groovin' As if through water from the bottom of a pool You're movin' without movin' And when you move, I'm moved You are a call to motion There, all of you a verb in perfect view Like Jonah on the ocean When you move, I'm moved When you move I'm put to mind of all that I wanna be When you move I could never define all that you are to me So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby You are the rite of movement Its reasonin' made lucid and cool I know it's no improvement When you move, I move You're less Polunin leapin' Or Fred Astaire in sequins Honey, you, you're Atlas in his sleepin' And when you move, I'm moved When you move I can recall somethin' that's gone from me When you move Honey, I'm put in awe of somethin' so flawed and free So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby So move me, baby Like you've nothin' left to prove And nothin' to lose Move me, baby Ooh, ooh, ooh Oh baby, oh baby Move like grey skies Move like a bird of paradise Move like an odd sight come out at night Move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby So move me, baby Like you've nothin' left to lose And nothin' to prove Move me, baby So move me, baby Shake like the bough of a willow tree You do it naturally Move me, baby

Hozier is a once in a lifetime artist, I haven't heard one song I didn't like, relate too, or didn't speak to my soul. This man is the embodiment of God giving talent.
  • @robirb_
"When you move , honey, I'm put in awe of somethin' so flawed and free" honestly he didn't have to go so hard but he did and I'm so grateful
  • @magnasolis
Polunin dancing on Hozier's song.......poetry in motion, LITERALLY!

Being someone who isn’t as initiated to ballet, I find this to be a very cool introduction. The power, agility and grace come together so well. A great display of athleticism.
