These kids were seen by neighbors doing yard work at midnight. Neighbors reported they looked pale and emaciated and seemed afraid. Yet in 20+ years, no one reported anything amiss. People need to pay attention to their gut instincts and forget about offending anyone's feelings. This situation should never have gone on so long.

People say "oh, they treated them like animals!" Really? Would you ever treat an animal like that? I would never abuse my dog in that manner - or any animal - much less my child!

I bet some of the younger kids are actually kids of the older girls... I’d also be checking the gardens of all their former homes.
  • how is it that in a community this small no one notices little activity from a home where there are 13 children?

Look into trauma-based mind control, that is what the parents were doing. Psychological programming. Taking them to Vegas and Disney reinforces that. It teaches the kids to pretend to act happy and interact with society in a sort of "stealth mode." It also provides them with a reward system for successful behaviour.

All homeschoolers should be required to allow annual wellness checks. Not because homeschoolers are all bad but because so many stories of abuse include pulling the kids out of school and there being no follow up. :(
  • The 29 year old girl weighs less than me and I’m almost 15. Seriously disgusting people.

I feel bad for all of them but mostly to the eldest since she's never lived her 29 years right

Jordan the 17 year old at the time who called the cops just did an interview with her eldest sister Jennifer and omg, it was so emotional to watch. I totally recommend it if you enjoy this case, but I bawled like a baby watching the documentary.
  • Time to demolish the Turpin Family house down just like they did to Ariel Castro's house in Cleveland, Ohio
  • @Nina.Mandarina
U live next to a house where a family with 13 kids live in a house but u are not concerned when those kids pop up outside only few times per year. Disgusting!

I still can't believe they really had the audacity to plead not guilty um....did you not hear the chargers or remember the abuse you inflicted on your children you're 100% guilty
  • when this story first came out i saw it on the news and my mind was fucking blown. i still cannot believe someone could do that to anyone, this story is so insane.

Those Children suffered Horrible Treatment for years and No One Noticed!!!?
  • @itzben87
I an so angry at the neighbors that after so many signs they chose to be negligence and stay indifferent. They too played the role in this abuse by not raising concerns with the local authorities. They are guilty too..... because they didn't care what was happening next door.
