#chainsawman #manga Thanks to my supporters over on Patreon, I hit my first goal!! Which, as a reward, led to a video on the infamous Chainsaw Man by Fujimoto Tatsuki! It'd be an underesitmation to say CSM has exploded in popularity, and Fujimoto's other works too as a result, and I can completely understand why.

In my video I talk about loss in Chainsaw Man. As some people know who have been following me for a while now, I haven't ever really covered a mainstream manga. At least, nothing to this extent. With that said, I hope this video is bringing something new to the table of discussion! Let me know what you guys think!

Also, just want to say thank you so much for 50k subscribers, that's a mind-blowing number to me and it's all down to your guys' support 💗

The amount of time that must have gone into the first 30 seconds alone is absolutely astounding. Incredible work as always!!!

So in a nutshell, chainsawman’s story and characters are so impactful because they’re developed as if they were movies.

The editing here is amazing. You did not have to go this hard lol. Also, imo the best portrayal of loss in Fugimoto’s work is Goodbye Eri, I love how the feeling of forgetting all of the bad parts of a relationship/person after a tragedy was shown in that chapter.
  • Spoilers for Part 2: Denji is forced to choose whether to save a car full of elderly or a student with a bright future. This is the classic trolley problem, and many people would fear choosing one life over another. Instead, Denji chooses to save a cat. And I think that shows how much he has grown, as Power was someone who liked cats and Denji started to care for her.
  • Easily one of your best intros so far and the rest of the video keeps that same caliber throughout. Chapter 71 might be one of the best isolated sections in the manga and I'm so happy to see someone covering that small yet impactful chapter
  • Everyone is praising your editing which is absolutely great but the scriptwriting was wonderful too. It’s a sensitive topic and you talked about it with so much care. I ended up crying and it’s probably because yeah I like CSM but also because of your words 💜

You are one of those few YouTubers who prioritizes quality over quantity, and let me just say that I love your works because of that. You are documentary-level creative, and it is fantastic to behold.

Amazing intro and CSM breakdown! I found it interesting how Fujimoto managed to foreshadow the losses without giving too much away, often using the the abundance of chaos to casually sprinkle it in. And even when a loss was fully anticipated and predicted by the reader, the manner in which it happens still brought a bit of surprise.
  • I had a friend who LOVED Chainsawman, they got me into the series and i binged it all to talk to them about it. We talked about it all the time and started to reread it together. But then I lost them, and with that, love, time, and friendship. I kept reading and fuck your video just hits so hard and puts to words all those feelings I feel and felt reading it a second time. Great manga, great themes, and even greater youtube video Amazing work as usual <3 literally one of my favourite youtubers and I feel like I think it everytime I watch a video on the channel, but one of your best works TwT
  • When talking about losses in manga I have immediate flashbacks of many Fire Punch scenes... Dat Manga was lit
  • This channel I swear is so severely underrated in the anime YouTube sphere. Original animations and clean editing that is one of the best I've found in an anime channel. And that's not mentioning the actual content—the scripting in this channel is easy 10/10. The voiceover is great and sucks you in. Overall one of my favorite analysis Channel in YouTube
