It's a shame that, for whatever reason, the mom didn't have the girls formally diagnosed and under medical supervision YEARS ago (like at the first sign of the condition in childhood), given that she KNOWS there are serious health consequences.

The mother said: she was never told or warned she may pass on the genetic condition. 😳 But then, after having her first daughter, who inherited the condition... she then went on to have another 6 children after the first. As other commenters have said: it really is so unfair for these girls. I pray for these girls to have the best health and future.
  • Nobody can blame this young girl for wanting to go out and live a young person's life. Bless her, I wish her all the best.

I looked her up. She's 25 now and is engaged. I wish her all the best.

Her family was so close and supportive of one another in the beginning. I hope they have moved forward and are now on speaking terms. They had a lovely family bond.

I'm a father of a 15 year old daughter, and it made my eyes well up to see her smile and be so happy with her new look. Being a teen is hard enough when you look normal and kids are certainly resilient, but that's still an impressionable time in their life and just dealing with hormones and learning how to cope with your emotions doesn't need to be any harder than it already is. Teen girls are hard enough on their appearance when nothing is wrong, let alone something like this.

Sometimes people forget how healthy and lucky they really are.
  • That dr was kind to offer the surgery for free. He saw her problems with self esteem and knows her money problems, and for loss of his pocket, offered to help. Many wouldn't do that 👍

    > have a terrible hereditary condition > 7 kids
  • @LL-rn2xp
You mean to tell me that after her older children clearly had the illness, the mother still decided to have more kids? Yet she says she didn't know it could be passed on? I feel so bad for the kids.

But can we appreciate the doctor for actually making such a expensive surgery practically for free, because they couldn't afford it but he wanted to help?

This poor child, she deserves all the help and transformations required, so happy for her

Out of all the videos I’ve seen from this channel so far this is my favorite. Not only because it shed light on a condition I never knew existed but because of the strength and humbleness this young lady shows throughout. I sincerely hope her message gets heard all over and more people who potentially have this genetic condition come forward and do what needs to be done for themselves to have a fulfilling life and coming together to support one another ! Kudos to this channel for these type of eye opening videos ! ❤

At 16 this poor baby doesn't have the emotional maturity to handle this. Many adults would also struggle. I can't imagine what she goes through, and the internal conversation she has with herself 😢💕🙏

There's nothing worse than a person being uncomfortable to smile. Smiling, even when you're not happy, has a positive psychological effect. She talked about getting her teeth worked on and how that would effect her confidence; I was so happy to see her smile when she was caught off guard. I hope she has many happy days ahead of her with her family.

I hope she’s doing well. She really deserves all the happiness in the world
  • Tracy, the mom, and Zara seem to have remarkable insight into their reasons for wanting to avoid learning about the dangers to their health. Having had those same fears, I feel the utmost sympathy for them. How sad that the family has ruptured. But what brave women. I, like other commentors, hope for the best for the three women affected by their genetic condition.
