“You You! YOU YOU YOU YOU YOUUUUU! (Yelling)” That part gave me chills-

I love this scene. Its so dark. But this level of confidence and craftsmanship hasnt been seen on screen in a long time. I hate that Cameron cut this scene and refuses to put it back. This one scene puts all of the recent movies by Nolan, Scorsese and Tarantino to shame. I love that this scene doesnt have any of Camerons patented blue-lighting tropes. Its magnificently made with raw and real lighting. All of the critics who trashed Cameron for his moonlighted or starlit nighttime scenes can suck a lemon

I wish they had kept this in. The only reason I can imagine it was removed is because of how Neytiri is forgiven immediately after and it’s seemingly forgotten. The scene in the film still shows Neytiri making a complex decision, but it’s not nearly as good as this extended version which I wish had been kept in.
  • It’s truly a shame the Oscars don’t recognize motion capture performances because Zoe is absolutely sublime in this role. You feel the rage, the wonder, the innocence, the sadness, etc so strongly through her performance. She fucking kills it. Best motion capture performance ever after Andy Serkis as Gollum imo.
  • After watching the scene for the first time, I was speechless. I kept asking why? Why did they cut the extended bit out? Neytiri violently stabbing the soldiers multiple times I understand as that would have likely increased the rating to MA15+ or a very high M. But the clip where Neytiri doesn't release Spider? No. They should have kept it in. It added so much to the characters. I hope if they make an extended edition of the film, the clip where Spider remains a hostage is kept in.
  • Can you imagine being one of the Metkayina watching all these explosions from a distance. Keep in mind Jake is Toruk Makto, a living breathing legend to their people. They are watching so much destruction, and everyone BUT Neteyam lives. Like that would be terrifying.

this was so much more emotionally complex than the theatrical cut , it prays on the audience's emotions so perfectly
  • They are the perfect couple for a fight, she’s a born and bred hunter and warrior and he’s a great fighter and tactician but they also have great communication skills with each other
  • 3:02 The fear in Quaritchs eyes when he sees Neytiris arrow........most likely remembering that is what killed him in the first movie I love how Kiri says "Thats right, they're coming for you!" With absolutely no hesitation and so confidently, it didn't seem she had any fear present

Cameron should have left this in. The only time an action scene needs to be cut is if its too over the top and goofy. (My 0.02) The only people that have a right to judge Ney'tiri are those mothers whom lost a child to violence. Some comment on another clip said it "went against Ney'tiris humanity." -_- Ney'tiri was never human in the first place. She's Na'Vi, not an Avatar.

Those few seconds where neytiry relentlessly stabs that soldier is so powerful. It really shows how much the pain they’ve caused changed her. Of all the fighting scenes, that one shouldn’t have been deleted.

“You really gonna kill a kid, Mrs. Silly?” “You’re a warrior who fights with me, not the boy!” NETEYAM WAS A KID! YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE FOUGHT WITH NETEYAM!

After Kiri seeing Neytiri almost killing Spider, she wouldn't never let her near Spider again and become mad at her.
  • @minder01
I get why they cut it but yet again we have a deleted scene that would have added even more to both Quaritch and the balancing act between humans/Na'vi morals.
