I had left my switch unattended while playing a different game. After finishing the game, I looked back at my switch to literally see a shiny lechonk just waiting and staring at me to come back. It was honestly probably one of the coolest yet funniest ways to find a shiny by staying still lol.

I found this game so much more fun when you just slow down. Instead of running straight from point A to B I just walked in areas let my Pokémon out and let them play in water ext. it just felt better to not fly around everywhere and just be more “grounded”

I'd never been a shiny hunter. I always just traded for the shinies that I like. This game changed that. Just watching this video makes me so happy for you. Thanks for making this.

Just a hint for anyone playing Scarlet and Violet. If you are in the tunnels, wiggle your camera around too look in the walls or use the lock on feature to scan the walls. The ground extends quite a bit out, and even the ceiling counts as a spawn-able area. First time in the tunnels, I noticed movement above me, and it was a salandit. I decided to check the walls, and I found a female salandit within the walls. The respawns seem to be slow, because they are spawning out of view on the other side of the walls.

As soon as I started the game, I saw sandygast and knew i needed a shiny one. Its got such a beautiful and eerie shiny. After an hour and a half of just using a ground type sandwich, I got my shiny sandygast and named her "Sand-Ghastle". Shes essential to my team and she was my first shiny in Violet 💛🖤💙

My first random shiny in gen 9 ended up being a Mareep. I was doing challenge where my friend made a team for me and vice versa. Im just going around battling and catching Mareep because i wanted one with a more ideal nature. It caught me off guard seeing a pink sheep just wandering around

I honestly love these games. The story caught my attention and I didn’t want to let go. The characters felt relatable for me. Bugs aside, these are one of the best ever. Also I got to name my grass cat Morgana after my favorite game of all time Persona 5 Royal!

PSA for you and anyone else out there in a similar situation: Just wanna let you know, there IS an option in the option menu if this game to turn off the prompt you get when a Pokemon in your party wants to learn a new move. Normally, I think it's better to leave the prompt on but in your specific scenario, where you have a bunch of baby Pokemon leveling up and learning lots of stuff quickly, that's when it's best to turn those off.. Unfortunately, there's still no mass release option which is BS imo... PLA had that option! Why would you not implement that?! It can't be too hard to do! 😖

I still haven't gotten my first gen 9 shiny yet after around 60 hours, but after this, i'm beyond determined to get one great stuff as always, noki and even though shiny charcadet isn't the most overwhelmingly great shiny, i've decided it's my target now and i'll update here once i've got it in my grubby little mitts lmao update: i ran out of space in my boxes for eggs and i found a full odds shiny lokix instead lmao, but i mean hey a shiny is a shiny !
