The Killing Joke was made even more of a joke when the directors started calling the critics 'pu**y's'. So embarrassing when they can't take a punch. You're so right about the sexualization of Batgirl too. It's a damn shame, she looked up to Bruce like her own father..

Honorable mention: Assassins Creed. Sorry Fassbender, even you chiseled steel and sex appeal couldn't save that movie. Why did he need to be shirtless for all those action scenes?

I don't understand this dialogue about "enforced feminism." Feminism is defined as the treatment of women as equals. Does having an all female cast (Ghostbusters) or an empowered female lead (Alice) really worthy of a backlash? Should I be upset that the first Ghostbusters film featured an all male cast? Should I be upset when a strong male character is a lead in a film? It's so confusing and weird that people get upset about this - even other women. It's kind of sad.

The owning your sexuality argument only works when speaking of a women who CHOOSES to embrace her sexy. It does not work with female characters written by men for the male gaze.

The plot of Suicide Squad was literally walking from point A to point B. That's it!

As a huge Marvel fan I don't understand the hate on Suicide Squad... It was really fun and enjoyable. I didn't get bored at all watching it. Indeed it wasn't a masterpiece, but still it wasn't as bad as people try to make it seem.
