We found out some really bad news and they are closing Auora's program at her current school, so she will have to switch schools. Then Bella gets nominated for an amazing award, but we have to get some volunteer hours in first.

Kudos to Bella!! 👏🏼👏🏼 National Honor Society is a great achievement and should be a goal, especially if planning to attend college. Most high school have plenty of volunteer opportunities that all kids can participate in. Glad you found a place Bella wanted to volunteer at…always important to give back!

a hybrid program where she is with her typical peers for part of the day and in the specialized class for 'academics' and therapies is appropriate for many kids Public schools should be providing that. For example, she would join the typical class for art and music, maybe social studies, or science. You do give her the 'typical peer' experience with after school activities so that helps. Some families don't do that.

Congratulations to Bella. The NHS is a wonderful testament of your academic achievements and leadership qualities! This will be a great addition to your high school resume. You are such a wonderful role model for your siblings. Keep up the good work. Crystal, I volunteered with all three of my daughters. Definitely great 1:1 time while contributing to the community. Good job skipping the soda Aaron! I stopped cold turkey in high school and never looked back.

Oh wow! Bella made the National Honor Society so proud of you getting that honor. Aurora is very special and need extra need. She will be a trooper when she goes to another school. You and Aaron will find the right school for everyone where ever you all moved. Love you all.❤️❤️❤️

Aurora has come such a long way since I started watching a few years ago. The way she talks is amazing and clearly her new school is helping her. I’m glad she gets to stay in the same program. Congratulations to Bella!! Keep up the good work kiddo!! You’re going places! 🎉

Here in Seattle Washington we have Treehouse that helps with foster children.. I have volunteered numerous times over the past 20 years and 10 years ago my mother took emergency foster placement of my 5 grandkids (I was recovering from a stroke and couldn’t care for them at the time) I helped her connect with treehouse and she took in the kids with just the clothes on their backs.. I am so glad there’s places like that which are available

I honestly adore how much Aaron and Crystal both so obviously love their children. It warms my heart seeing them so passionate about making sure every one of their kids is heard and cared for and appreciated. I really hope I can be as good a parent as they both are❤

Loved hearing that in your community there's an organization who donates clothing items to the 'closet' Bella volunteered at for foster kids in the system. So needed. I work for a large grocer and damaged/out of date foods go to the nearest 'soup kitchen', for lack of a better term. The date on a product is the 'sell by', not the 'eat by' date so it is not like we are donating bad/spoiled foods and obviously that food gets used same day or maybe next day...so it's a win all around.

Congrats to Bella! It’s a huge deal! They will probably do a ceremony in front of the whole school. At my school current members brought roses to the new members and had them stand in front of all of us.

I work in a middle school with kids with autism and it is amazing I love to see Aurora thriving and learning everyone has different learning needs and I'm glad she is getting those met.
