This one of the best, most in-depth videos on this topic that I have found after weeks of researching. Thanks and I cannot wait to get the A40s so I can stream finally.
  • Finally someone who knows what they are talking about lol. Thanks man! I was having a hard time trying to make my party chat not sound so loud and muffled.

This is by far the most informative video I have found regarding this topic. Very well done and to the 15 people who thumbed down...... You are not going to find a better video on how to do this. You will find people telling you to stream you xbox to your pc and create a second gamer profile and invite it to the chat and so on and so on and so on and so on. RIP....

yo i just wanted to say I've been struggling to find a simple solution to this for AGES. I've watched like 5 other tuts and i wish i knew that all i had to do was download the command center, change a few sliders and add the scene to obs. Life Saver man thanks.
  • The chat audio that comes through your stream out port --- is that only party chat? Or is it also chat from other players in-game? I also noticed you posted on the Astro forums about having to relocate your USB location to the XBox, and that the AUX introduces a humming noise. Did you get this figured out?

Thank you SO MUCH! I had a lot of questions on how to do this and did not want to send messages back and forth with Astro Support. I will be getting the TR shortly!

This is a greaaat video, this deserves way more recognition, but i do think you should include in the title that you need the mixamp :)

Has anyone ran in to an issue where for some reason the stream port picks up your astro headset mic even though it's muted in the astro command center? It's extremely quiet but it still picks it up. In OBS I can see the volume indicator move in the audio line-in capture that's coming from the stream port whenever I talk through my headset mic. At first I thought who cares my external mic will over-power it but since they aren't perfectly in sync you can hear the doubling.

This video was very informative I am wondering how do I go about using my xlr mic for both the stream and to talk to people in game ?
  • @LegacyGamer
This would be great if the directshow plug in would even show in the source section on my obs. installed it correctly and it just doesn't show up. there are several people in the forums with the same issues, but nobody has answered on how to fix it
  • Excellent video😃👍I just purchased the Xbox one Astros A40s TR. I am recording with Elgato Hd60, and using an external Yeti mic. When I finished a recording gameplay, I can only hear the gameplay sound, not my friends. My voice records fine. Do I connect the headset usb cable to my PC? Or on the Xbox one? Will appreciate any help, thanks!
  • Does this work with streamlabs obs? I can't seem to find plugins anywhere within the app
