Bumper sweet potato harvest (Old video November 2015)

Published 2016-12-20
Sorry for the camera work I did not have my tripod this day.
This is an older sweet potato harvest. These were found in some rubber mulch are and we did not eat them due to them growing in the rubber mulch. When I made this video I was not sure if I should eat them or not. Well we decided to compost them instead. I had many people asking about more of my harvest videos and since I was sick and did not get a chance to post this one I thought I would. I have at least one person that said they would watch it :) I really hope you guys enjoy this video!

Potatoes do grow best and big in loose soil. Using plastics mulch is not wise. In the heat it melt and toxins is releasedoing. All and all great harvest. You should add organic compost soil next time. Don't worry about breaking the vines. You cut the runners and replants them.

That is great, Ben. So happy for you. I found they did better in loose soil. The one I had in the back were smaller, the ran off into clay. Your potatoes were smart. They like the the mulch. :)
