It's still way cooler than CGI, and a LOT more fun to watch.
  • @MORE1500
The music of Bernard Herrmann was a crucial element to many of Ray's films.
  • Stop motion should never be forgotten, it looks different and somehow more real then CGI at times. A truely great art form.
  • stop-motion is the perfect animation style for creating certain SFX and VFX, in my own opinion stop motion works best when creating unnatural creatures, the undead and robots.
  • @pandarush.
To me, these are much scarier than CGI. Love them!

LOL! That was our CGI when I was a kid. We were amazed back then.

In my opinion, stop motion is much more realistic than CGI, though labour-intensive and time-consuming. But the effects pay off and stand out in any movie. Such films deserve to be preserved for posterity. We are indebted to Ray Harryhausen for his innovativity and contributions to the genre. 🎥🎥🎥

Talos in "Jason" is one of Harryhausen's creepiest creatures ... Always gives me goosebumps.
  • Wonderful man who made children very happy. Rip ray Harry ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Those skeletons sword fighting Sinbad and his crew were the stuff of nightmares and dreams combined...the coolest thing ever to me.

This was intertaining. As a kid in the 60's almost every sifi and horror film had some SMA in it. Loved it.

This was awesome! I met Ray Harryhausen at a convention and he couldn't have been nicer. He saved my childhood and provided much needed magic. Thanks for doing this!!!
  • The 1925 movie “The Lost World” is really a treat to behold! For a movie made 95 years ago the special effects are pretty impressive. Anyone interested to watch it for the first time or just watch it again, it’s on Amazon Prime right now if you have it. 🦕

From the 1950's through the '70's, I watched many movies with stop action characters. This is a very good tribute to that art. Thank you.
