Napping for up to 60 minutes, however, can cause you to wake up groggy, feeling tired, and less alert. This is due to your brain entering the deeper stages of sleep, so try to keep your naps under the 30 minute mark.

If you can afford the time, a full 90 minute nap will allow your brain to go through a full sleep cycle. This will allow yourself to get the full benefits of a nap without waking up groggy.
