  • Brings back old memories to me….. My Dad, God bless him, was a mechanic, old school, didn’t have his own shop, more like a “mobile” mechanic. But most the time he would work around our home. I still remember all these acts working on valves and all kind of mechanic work, anything in a car, from A to Z. He didn’t have laths or other machining devices, just the basic tools, his strength and his brain (not particularly in that order). He always repeated that tools are the most important, they work for you. It’s like a gift from heaven to get a new tool, particularly the specialized ones. He grew up orphan and illiterate. I was helping him after school, weekend and summer holidays. And I would read for him automotive repair guides for some newer car models. Then to make things easy for him he would ask me to write down a single letter for some parts and put next to it the value for the torquing amount needed. Mainly for Pistons and 3 or 4 other majors parts. I know some people will criticize about the environmental and safety parts of this video but it is what it is and these guys are gaining honest income. Cleaning was with “petrol” then for some parts with “diesel” followed with water jetting, it helps a quicker drying and I’m guessing it’s like using a surfactant and repelling water. Thank you for sharing this.

After watching these guys I look at all my tools, power equipment and garage floor and say to myself ...... What in the world am i doing. These guys are limited everything and still do a better job than most garages

I was a cylinder head specialist when I worked in NASCAR and to watch this done with such less precision tools that we had is simply amazing.
  • Good job ! When I was young, like this boys, my dream were :work at garage of my neighbor .This is still in my heart for 62 years, Congratulations from Brazil.
  • When I was kid in Cuba I used to do this kind of work too with my father. God bless you
  • @famfeld

2 kids rebuilding an engine with minimum tools, bloody amazing
  • I used to bang valve springs off like that doing valve seals in Hyundai excels in the 90’s lol …Clamp a pair of vice grips onto a 13/16 spark plug socket , put bearing grease in the Socket . Pressurize the cylinder you’re working on with an adapter from your compression gauge hooked up to shop air to keep the valves closed , then hold the socket on the top of the spring then smack it with the hammer , the grease catches the keepers lol

I love the way the young boy works with his dad watching & learning as he helps to do the little things like picking up bits & winding the bed of the mill over... no doubt just like his dad did with his dad... It is how I learned to do things with my dad.
  • @kdubnc1640
I love watching these folks fix old broken things. They waste nothing and put the work in to reuse everything.
  • @jmendoza139
Damn i wish i coulda been in a shop like this as a lil kid too. What an amazing way to learn
  • @peted5217
Used to do lotsa engine o'hauls working @ Ford Dlr in 70s. Including valve jobs. Cleaned cyl heads with powered wire brush like these folks, breathing in all that toxic leaded fuel dust. Hard to believe I'm still here. (Many contemporaries aren't)

실린더 헤드 정비는 굉장히 어려운데 다들 실력이 좋으시네요. 영상 잘 봤습니다😄
  • For not having the top of the line tools. These guys did an amazing job. I would buy their stuff any day.

Next door there is a brain surgeon performing neurosurgery but using just a hammer and dynamite.... Coincidentally, the patient is also wrapped in plastic at the end...
