Daniel Defense has release their new H9 pistol. They bought the rights to the original Hudson 9 but have completely redesigned it into a more streamlined handgun.

Mine experience has been similar with a couple differences. Should be dropping my review shortly 🇺🇸

James Reeves did a good breakdown about how different the guns are internally. He said only a single part survived from the original to the DD release.

MAC, feel free to send me the original pistol and I will sign it for you.

I like that you can use it to shoot new keyholes in a door installation. Very useful tool.
  • The best looking part to me was that dust cover being in line with the trigger guard.

I wish they kept the super low rail. I loved the space gun look. I know it’s not as functional but neither is a Lamborghini countach.

I'm glad the H9 is back, and it seems that Daniel Defense did an excellent job with it. I do think that the original Hudson model looks much nicer from an aesthetic point of view though. Those smooth lines and the way the trigger guard lines up perfectly with that recoil assembly in the front gives it such a nice cyberpunk-esque look. The DD model can't quite capture that since it's trigger guard extends below the front of the gun - even with something mounted on the rail it doesn't look quite as nice. Great video though!

"It's not metal, it's all aluminum " 😅 Nice review, love the content Tim 👍

Thanks for all the years of content MAC. You answered my question on the L85 when I was like 13. Im 25 with a family and left the army a few years ago.

Honestly just happy to see a reimagining of the H9 come back. If DD hadn't bought the rights to it, I doubt we'd ever see another take on the H9 ever again.
  • Best H9 review that I have seen thus far. Also, that little blue hand is very helpful and hilarious at the same time.
  • @thudable
Useful information. AS ALWAYS. Thanks Tim

I knew this review was coming sooner or later. Glad to hear mostly positive stuff.

Excellent and thorough review. Very detailed. Loved it. Thanks !!!

Don’t see why they bothered to buy the rights to the H9 when they fundamentally changed it. It would be nice if DD offers replacement parts to get broken H9’s back in working order.

Great video. Of course the new one is better its internals have been changed to the perfection that Gaston Glock accomplished decades ago. Thanks for all that you do for the gun community.
