The ULTIMATE Laser Guide to Leatherette | Cutting AND Engraving

Published 2024-06-24
We're kicking off the testing with the Saddle Collection leather-like sheet, which is the Johnson Plastics Plus offering on synthetic leatherette. When we unboxed it, we were initially super impressed, but we're definitely looking forward to this testing to find out more about its performance across a spectrum of wavelengths and delivery systems.

Make sure you stick around until the end of the video to see how this material performs on the UV laser specifically, it’s pretty wild. If you're interested in seeing the rest of the results, don't go anywhere because we're getting started right now.

As usual Johnson Plastics Plus sent over the leatherette for us to review.
No money was exchanged in any way for any review or outcome.
Johnson Plastics Plus did not see this video before it was released.

  • Just reinforces that I want to add a UV laser to the lineup. Every other base is covered but the quality out of the UV is just gorgeous. Thanks for the in depth testing.

Love the test results. I actually have a 5w UV on its way. I’m excited! Gonna head over and check out the Acadamey I’m gonna need it. Lol
  • Perfect timing. I just got a sample pack of leatherettes from JDS.
  • For better cutting you can take out the bottom removable metal and focus down past the base and the weight of the base will hold down the entire panel.
