“Kids should not be chasing pedophiles down in their own game.” That is literally all that needs to said.

"Kid's should not be hunting pedophiles in their own game." well said.
  • It's amazing how Charlie goes from joking about the item stock market to genuine horror at the sheer amount of money these actual kids are burning for the sake of having a funny new hat.

I thought this would be about DRAMA drama in Roblox, like youtube drama. No, this is way different. This is a whole new way to exploit kids and its disgusting.
  • @giantpinkcat
I love how Roblox exploits children but everybody acts like it's the children's fault. As if 8-14 year olds know if they're being exploited, or even know what exploitation means.
  • Fun Fact: David Baszucki, the CEO of Roblox, was exposed for Tax Evasion (this isn't even a joke)
  • @Scott...
“Jack’s learning Unity now” People like to shit on Unity as an engine but at least it doesn’t have a body count.
  • I am a preschool teacher.. what Charlie said about kids is 1000% true, I entertained them with a scotch tape game once for 2 hours

Roblox's "by kids for kids" schtick worked fantastically in 2007, where the most you could do is make a cool car and then pretend it actually drove with absolutely no financial incentive. The platform already had a long history of garbage moderation (the admin panel got leaked several times and mass hackings were just the norm) so introducing monetisation was the killing stroke.
  • "Surely, there's a better way than going into roblox with a traffic cone and a halloween costume to confront patriot prime" Charlie, 2022
  • I can’t believe that Charlie had to tell someone that letting children mess with thousands of real world dollars on a simulated stock market is a bad idea

I feel terrible for Jack man. He sounded like he was going to cry when he said his parents would have been proud.
  • "Kids will play anything" explains why there are literally thousands of low effort role-playing games. Saw some poor bastard playing a contentless game like he was an AI. Wandering around aimlessly and relentlessly attacking anything that got close while very slowly building a shitty house. I could see how painfully boring it was and yet he kept playing.

the fact that this game is legal and still relatively thriving after all these years will never cease to amaze me

"Kid's should not be hunting pedophiles in their own games" Hell, why doesn't roblox do anything about this.
  • "Kids should not be hunting pedophiles in their own game" When I was in sprinkler Sophomore year of highschool, a bunch of guys got together and jumped one of our old teachers back at the Jr High for sexually harassing one of my buddy's little sisters over social media. He was too scared to tell anyone what happened, so we never got caught. There's some places in America where kids hunt pedophiles offline too.
