lol, if Orban is against him, he's a good pick.
-
Rutte's attitude towards Ukraine remains the same as Stoltenberg if not more.
-
Maybe the rest of NATO can also "opt-out" of helping Hungary.
-
There isn't a mechanism to expel a member from NATO but Hungary is making a great case for creating one.
-
Not being Victor's friend is a very good quality
-
As a Pole of course I would prefer Kallas. Let’s hope Rutte is tough enough at the time we really need a tough leader and no compromise for Hungary. Yes, we appreciate our historical connections and help we had with each other, but now is now and politically speaking we’re not friends at all, simple us.
-
Rutte is a bridge builder, he has a massive connection base in the political world. He will do great.
-
How can Hungary still be part of NATO.?
-
If Hungary, besides rhetoric want to be outside of NATO, then BYE!!!!
-
How many months pregnant is Orban?
-
Jens was good but Rutte seems to be a little less soft and a better fit right now.
-
I think the war in Ukraine is the main driver for increase in defense spending, not Trump.
-
The Dutch are friendly, civilized people who speak plainly. They understand diplomacy. Yet if you cross them you will taste their steel. Solid choice.
-
Stoltenberg has been competent and reassuring. If Rutte ultimately takes the job, he should remember the example. It looks positive that Rutte is low key and humble. Those are good traits for a NATO Sec. General
-
Hm. So, talking for 6’ without even defining what the job is, then asking the question and not answering it… Anyway the report started with praising Stoltenberg, the guy who put under the carpet every significant problem within the alliance, from agressive Turkish behaviour toward its « allies » Greece and France to the « Brain death » diagnosis… Or how to make a totally worthless and useless 7’. The job is Secretary General, it has no power whatsoever. It’s a diplomatic role, a discussion facilitator and, to an extent, a spokesperson.
-
I'm going to miss Stoltenberg, but I'm sure Rutte will be just as good.
-
If he isnt soft and can do what is necessary to keep the alliance connected and united and safe, he is a good pick
-
It's not a queation on letting Hungary go their own way, It's a question about Hungary being in a blocking position, or not.
-
I love how he used to Fact Check Trump
-
Good, my deepest respect and admiration to Stoltenberg.
