Artists from across the nation, both seasoned and novice, converge on iconic locations to capture their essence on canvas. Amidst the backdrop of wildlife, historic edifices, and landmarks, they race against time, vying for the approval of discerning judges. While episode winners progress to subsequent rounds, up to 50 wildcard artists per location also hope to dazzle the judges. Their aim? The wildcard winner created by far my favourite painting—brilliant!
  • @909sickle
The wildcard was next level. They drop the ball in the next episode.

I loved all the artists in this episode… they all produced great works… my winner would be Emily just for the beautiful greens… the wildcard was absolutely stunning !!!
  • By far, the best painting of he day was the young lady who won the wild card. Eager to see how she does next time

"Titivating" is the word of the day. To make small, enhancing alterations. Well done, everyone.

I loved the salute to the line-up of wild card contenders! PS - I would like to commend the judges for having refrained from saying, "new and fresh", and, "a little gem", this episode (although, the one judge did have to say, "jewel-like works").
  • Personally, I loved the submission painting of Emily’s. It was naive but extremely charming and intricate. However, when she chose to change mediums, her canvas didn’t grab me by the shoulder’s and say…that’s it! Thanks so much for the post as we wait weekly for it’s appearance!
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you…a thousand times thank you. 😊😊😊

I absolutely loved all of their entry submissions. I didn't feel the same about their on-site pieces.

No one here would be out painting in this kind of weather!

I wonder how Ruth is faring. I admire her vision of seeing beauty in her cancer and showing it to the world.
  • Why does a remark such as '... really beautiful passages of paint' touch me so deeply? Strange, interesting, nice. Now I want to put down such passages too. How words can inspire!

I just love Tai Shan Schierenberg ❤️ He has such a passion for art.

As an acrylic painter, this would be a perfect weather to paint outside... minus the wind lol
