How does Stevie still sound amazing after this many years?!?
-
I’ve been waiting for decades for Stevie and Damon together!!! I can finally die happy, play this at my funeral please
-
I remember listening to Gorillaz back when I was 7 years old. Now I’m 28 and I have a 5 year old son who loves this band.
-
This is my most favorite song on the album, The lyrics are just AMAZING
-
I just love the chorus so much. "Fairy-like companions, into the darkness that catapults is into imagined worlds. Seems a mockery remote." The way the lyrics are delivered, the rise and fall of notes, the cadence of that section, the playful wonder of the lyrics.

Their vocals sound great together. So cool.
-
It's amazing how well these two harmonize together.
-
Probably my favourite from the album. This totally deserved an official music video!
-
This is absolutely my favorite song on the album. Stevie’s voice is heavenly.
-
It’s amazing how 50+ years have passed and Stevie Nicks never disappoints!
-
The White Witch and The Gorillaz, a combo I didn’t know I needed but now I refuse to live without 😭

Why does this song make me feel happy, weird, and want to cry at the same time!?!?

"Oil" by Gorillaz featuring Stevie Nicks is a song about being lost and searching for love and companionship in an increasingly impersonal and technological world. The lyrics describe a sense of disconnection and disillusionment with reality, as the world is described as being "made of faulty dreams". The narrator is looking for someone or something to lift them out of their feelings of loneliness and despair. The line "Fly out of the doldrums and recall the log from the early database of your love" suggests that the narrator is looking to reconnect with a past love, or perhaps find a new love who he can connect with emotionally. The fairy light companions and dark maths represent the confusing and often contradictory nature of human relationships in a world where technology and social media can create false perceptions and questionable expectations. The chorus talks about the need to fill up the world with love and reject the poison of negativity and hate. The narrator acknowledges that he is not immune to feeling lost and alone, but ultimately believes that individual actions can make a positive impact if they come from a place of love and empathy. The final line of the song - "Fill them up with love" - serves as a reminder and call to action for listeners to create a world of love and connection despite the challenges of modern life. /songtell

The only complaint I have is that she only has one line by herself. I wish it was a little more duet style back and forth. I love her voice.

This has to be my favorite gorillas songs of all time, because it makes me cry almost every time. By my self or screaming in the car 🥲🤣🤓
-
This song has such a soothing but malancholic vibe to it.
-
Never a bad time for listening to Gorrillaz 🎧☺️

With my mom being a Stevie Nicks fan, I shared this song with her as soon as I heard it myself. She was the one who let me know that this collab was happening in the first place, knowing that I'm into Gorillaz.
