We're currently working on our capstone project and I was trying a trial of What'sUp Gold on our lab network and couldn't figure it out. This is a beautiful presentation. It helps a lot. I'm IT lay man wanting to learn SNMP,. You nailed it bro.

It would be useful to do a second video on how Snmp works, illustrating basic concepts of MIBs, OIDs, Traps. It is also interesting to mention that Snmp uses UDP instead of TCP for communication between manager and agents. This generated furious criticism and sarcasm from "International Standards bodies" when Snmp was proposed (80s). But the Snmp designers realized that in network management the reliability had to be built in the application (not in the protocol). Pure stroke of genius.

As always, couldn't bet better explained.
